Ten years ago I had been supervising a research project on peace and reconciliation in these areas. It included a lot of correspondence. One week of this exchange of messages is documented here. I put the correspondence in a bucket of water, later compacted and then dried it. The research had ticked all the right boxes, but was ignored by the events unfolding on the ground. You will be aware of that. But I will not let this research go without a shout. I am giving it a kind of new lease of life as a piece of art. "The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) continued their indiscriminate attacks in the Gaza Strip for the sixteenth consecutive day, with the estimated number of victims rising to 884. During the reporting period, IOF attacks were most ferocious in Gaza City and the northern Gaza Strip, where Palestinian civilians continued to be killed indiscriminately. The killing of children has become a characteristic of the attacks in both these areas. The increasing number of civilian victims, especially children and women, and the continuing use of excessive lethal force against civilians and their property, indicates that IOF is aiming to cause maximum deaths of Palestinian civilians and destruction of their property.
Scenes of death and destruction in the Gaza Strip are now reminiscent of the massacres perpetrated in the Sabra, Shatilla and Qana refugee camps in Lebanon in 1982. The Palestinian Centre for Human Rights (PCHR) has a dedicated team of field workers, whose ongoing investigations indicate that IOF are employing weapons which may be internationally prohibited in order to attack civilians in densely populated area throughout the Gaza Strip. These weapons include bombs that detonate before landing, dispersing flaming shrapnel which is causing intense burning of skin down to the bone, and thus destroys limbs. IOF have also deployed bombs that release dense, toxic smelling white smoke that has caused suffocation and fainting amongst victims."

Perhaps this picture makes you feel that the evening atmosphere in Gaza City is calm, safe and bright.
The exact opposite is happening now.
The innocent residents of Gaza City hate the night because it is the time when bombs fall on them from the air, land, and sea, which destroy their homes, their bodies, and kill them, their children, their neighbors, and everyone who is Affected by the massive explosions.
I am very affected by what is happening now and I want military vehicles and bulldozers to leave my country. They uproot houses, trees, streets and everything. I completely feel what children, women and youth feel when there is no water, medicine or a safe place. How does it happen and what do you feel when you do not find a safe place for you and your family? All I can do is share the thousands of appeals that reach me from inside this city that has been under siege for many years. The war must stop now.

This is Icecream factory owner from Gaza City eating his own icecream. He had a huge problem with his product as there is no regular electricity so shops can't buy icecream because freezers don't work.
