Rainbow lorikeets are true parrots, within the Psittacoidea superfamily in the order Psittaciformes. The rainbow lorikeet or lorikeet (common name) is a species of parrot found in Australia. It is common along the eastern seaboard, from northern Queensland to South Australia. Its habitat is rainforest, coastal bush and woodland areas. They are true parrots of medium-size, with the length ranging from 25 to 30 cm, including the tail. The weight varies from 75 to 157 g. The plumage of the nominate race, as with all subspecies, is very bright. The head is deep blue with a greenish-yellow nuchal collar, and the rest of the upper parts (wings, back and tail) are green. The chest is orange/yellow. The belly is deep blue, and the thighs and rump are green. In flight a yellow wing-bar contrasts clearly with the red underwing coverts. 3289

I choose to represent Japan , because i have always been fascinated by its rich culture ,history , gastronomy and fashion , And i can state that japan has nothing to envy to milan , new York or Paris .

 

I still remember my self, when i was little boy hidding under the bed ,behind the curtains jumping and cutting the wind with invisible daggers , thinking i was a powerful and an invisible ninja .

 

The ninjas are warriors of the shadow also called Shinobi that means the one who hides . They are trained from early age in survival skills , weopanery and secret ninja martial arts that was called ninjutsu.

 

they hadde there own code of conduct sieled in a document called the bansenshukai , Hattori Hanzō also known as Hattori Masanari or Hattori Masashige was a famous ninja of the Sengoku era, who served Tokugawa clan as a samurai, credited with saving the life of Tokugawa Ieyasu and then helping him to become the ruler of united Japan.

in some parts of the world ants are considered a prized exotic meal. in the photo are weaver ants (Oecophylla smaragdina). they construct a nest using stalks and leaves in a small tree .These kind of red ants are edible in traditional Thai, Laos and philippine cuisine.The larvae and young ants are carefully, they pack a nasty bite, harvested from their nest and cooked into a hearty meal. bon appetit

Dark red is one of my favourite colours, food is one of my favourite pleasures.

 

I feel offended if food is tasteless or ugly, I like simple food with good smell and texture. This is a beet for a bit sour salad, but appearance looks also similar to beef. You can see even little steam on photo, because everything was quite hot when I took this picture.

 

Thank you for your gastronomical interest. I'd be happy if anybody writes something about food here.
