Right: My 7.5x33R handload utilizing a waxed .314" 110 grain lead round nose flat point bullet with gas check over 3.5 grains of IMR Trail Boss. The brass is full length 32-20 Starline brand resized in a 30 Carbine die. The bullet was cast by a local gun nut ("jethunter"), and is pure perfection!
Left: A modified factory Prvi Partisan 7.62mm Nagant cartridge. I carefully resized the factory cartridge in a 30 Carbine die, set the factory .308" 98 grain FMJ further down into the case, and shortened the case to 33mm in length.
The factory specs on the 7.62mm Nagant cartridge are pretty anemic with a muzzle velocity of only 738 fps, and therefore perfectly safe for use in any Swiss 1882 revolver. For comparison sake, my max IMR Trail Boss handloads are pushing 1000 fps with absolutely no ill effects on my revolver.

YA GOTTA TRY THIS HARDBALL BULLET ALLOY!
After trying unsuccesfully to cast bullets using junk lead and old wheel weights I finally bit the bullet (no pun intended), and bought 45 pounds of hardball bullet alloy.
I found a company in San Leandro, California called ROTOMETALS.COM that makes the alloy using only virgin metals. If you cast your own bullets try this company, it cost me $2.39 a lb for 45 pounds of alloy plus they have free shipping. THEY SHIP FAST, i GOT IT IN THREE DAYS
Just to give you a heads up: lead is getting harder to find. Junk yards and salvage yards have it but can't sell it due to EPA regs. Nowadays wheel weights contain zink that renders any lead alloy useless for casting bullets. I don't know whats going on but i'm buying as much as I can from Rotometals before it drys up.
UPDATE: I've been casting bullets for the last two days and this alloy cast like a dream, as soon as your mold is hot enough it starts throwing nice, sharp bullets. This alloy cast so good that I ran out and have ordered 50 more pounds.
UPDATE Sept.15: Since I posted this several months ago I have used over a hundred pounds of the hardball alloy to cast 9mm and 38/357 bullets. I now have over 3000 cast bullets and a hundred pounds of Rotometal's hardball alloy in reserve so I should be set for quite awhile.
Since firing over 500 rounds in both my .357 and Beretta 9mm I have not had any leading problems whatsoever. I have not tried it in any rifle as yet but so long as it is kept under 2200 FPS and a gascheck used I shouldn't have to worry about leading.

The GasCheck is designed specifically for the search and location of flammable gas leaks. It detects almost any known gas or gas mixture and its micro-thermal conductivity sensor responds rapidly to the smallest of leaks.
