This egret landed near me, and soon caught a fish. I was fortunate to get the whole scene captured. This was the successful removal of the fish from the lake.
A Tricolored Heron Lurching into the Marsh to catch a little minnow. Within a split second he demonstrated his agility by leaping from a log wirh head under water, then this shot coming up with the minnow, to flying with it.

Got some wild results from reflecting my LED lights in an old CD. I know I say this nearly every week, but I took loads of these and a couple of others for the theme, so difficult to choose the final post!

The Cliff Swallows here are really tough to get. They fly so low and fast over the dam and disappear, then pop up to go back to the nest. Bucks County PA.
I don't really know what it captured. It was very animated with leaps and fluttering while pecking at the grass. I know they eat snails, lizards, frog, snakes in addition to corn and etc. Could be something meaty and tasty in that root ball.
Not even sure that IS a root ball because the distance was too far and photo too cropped for a good fix on what the crane dug up. If any of my friends here know, please share.
This cactus bloomed around Thanksgiving, so that's so called. Or it was what I remember when I got it. :-))
Found this floating around in my archives on a shoot I had taken awhile ago at Point Reyes. Not a great shot, but thought it might put a smile on a few faces.
Have a wonderful week everyone! :-)

An 8 week old Archie here enjoying some 'catch the string' play. Shot in low light at a high ISO and despite the focus not being perfect, the pose just brings such a smile to my face that I have to share the shot! He is now almost 11 weeks old and has grown so much. I'll have to do another photo-shoot with my wee ball of fluff soon. Enjoy your weekend my friends!
