Although we could confirm (after several hours surrounded by them) that these are harmless animals to divers, grey nurse sharks still have impressive jaws! From what we know they generally hunt at night, in locations distinct to where they rest during the day.

From Keenan's, we avoided Ayr itself, and turned south to head for Patna, to visit Smith's depot, and as we arrived at the turning for the village, we found a pair of double-deckers coming towards us. As expected, they were Smith's - just not the one from Patna !
This Smith was from Dalmellington, about 5 miles south of Patna, and they had presumably taken a couple of double-deck workings from the Patna firm in 1982, resulting in the arrival of two Atlanteans, their only double-deckers. GNS 670N had come straight from Glasgow, and stayed until the firm seemingly closed down in early 1989, then moving up to Clyde Coast.
