This dashboard was scratchbuilt from plywood, stained with several different woodstains to get a burr walnut effect. It then had about 12 coats of varnish rubbed down each time until it was like glass. The MDF steering wheel was made to check clearances etc. The final steering wheel had yet to be purchased. Getting one that complied to VOSA requirements was not that easy.
