According to the GSMNP website, Newfound Gap Road between Gatlinburg, Tennessee and Cherokee, North Carolina "is the only route that completely traverses the Great Smoky Mountains National Park." Scenic overlooks along this drive offer spectacular views of the Smokies. The overlook at Newfound Gap, where this shot was made, is the highest point along this drive. It is also a place where you can stand on the dividing line between Tennessee and North Carolina.
Taken on a showery day at Wallagoot Gap. Many rocks now exposed where formerly there was a small beach with sand. In the past it has been possible to walk through the Gap to another small beach and at times onto a third beach.

The bridge will get you from point A to point B by going over the obstacle. If you find yourself knee deep then you missed the turn. You can see the alterations I have done going to an abstract but the part you do not see is there was a huge stick that poked up in the middle of the shot and ruined the bridge, in abstract it was quiet easy to erase the stick and bridge the gap in the bridge, hope you enjoy the spring crossover!
Restoration of Simmons Gap Mill on Ivy Creek along what used to be an old Indian Trail through the Blue Ridge Mountains. The trail later became a wagon trail for settlers traveling West over the eastern range of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The mountains proved daunting for a group of Mennonites, a religious sect practicing modesty and simplicity, who chose to settle here, forming the still thriving Simmons Gap Mission. Since Virginia is on the Atlantic coast, it is sometimes hard to think of it as the gateway to the Old West, but it was.

Havinng a splashing time celebrating my umpteenth bath day in the company of my eldest granddaughter, back in 2004. Of course there were no masks in those "happy days".
Tip of the day :
In order to achieve this astonishing effect, you’ll need an olympic-size bathtub with loads of suds (or snow if you're into¹ snow bathing) and you’ll also need a beautiful granddaughter! Now if you happen to be a beautiful granddaughter, then you may be looking for a granddad but, not to worry, they’re two a penny² these days.
The picture was taken by her father who was 'filling the gap', so to speak! I just titivated it a bit and called it mine; so it's not exactly a selfie but every bit as good as. It is therefore signed Kittymax & Son, he took the photo and I salvaged it but don't tell him I said that for heaven's sake!

The Gap is located in the Sydney suburb of Watsons Bay, and is formed by Sydney Sandstone. The Gap's warm yellow-brown colour is due to oxidation of the stone. There are various lookouts along this cliff, giving magnificent views of the coastline.
Was so nice to be able to capture some nice mist as the Haar rolled back in again overnight. The start of a large inversion over The Trossachs.
Quick visit to Birling Gap beach with Caroline.
No light, bright conditions.
Think it will look good as a print though.
After running around their train, the PO75 heads west through Point of Gap with a C636, M636, and M630 trio.

The Parowan Gap Petroglyphs are located about 9 miles west of Parowan, Utah and about 20 miles north of Cedar City. The site has a spectacular array of rock art etched onto numerous boulders and cliff faces on both sides of the gap from one end to the other. Due to its significance as an archeological resource the site was placed on the National Resister of Historic Places in 1969.

My second shot from Friday evening at the Tamar Bridge.
At this time of year when the sun sets further north, it shines through the gap in the first "arch" of the Tamar Bridge as it sets. So, zooming in I opted for a closer composition of the two bridges.
It's a really lovely sight to see and a perfect place to watch the sunset, with views looking down to the River Tamar and Saltash on the Cornwall Side.
