LOS CASTILLOS
Los castillos se quedaron solos,
sin princesas ni caballeros.
Solos a orillas de un río,
vestidos de musgo y silencio.
A las altas ventanas suben
los pájaros muertos de miedo.
Espían salones vacíos,
abandonados terciopelos.
Ciegas sueñan las armaduras
el más inútil de los sueños.
Reposan de largas batallas,
se miran en libros de cuentos.
Los dragones y las alimañas
no los defendieron del tiempo.
Y los castillos están solos,
tristes de sombras y misterio.

Elvis Costello and Nick Lowe played a benifit concert at The Great American Music Hall.
iPhone 4, processed in Snapseed, Impossible Project PX100 Cool film, Impossible Project Instant Lab. Outtake that I didn't bother to dry age. I liked the cool blistering it took on after 3 weeks.

I went to see Cradle of Filth at the Great American Music Hall in 1999 with my second husband. The drawings I did that night, on paper from his notebook and with a ballpoint pen, are the first event drawings I ever did in the Bay Area.
