Praying Mantis
After getting home from getting some bird images I put the macro lens on and ventured into the garden. As I walked past the Orange tree something fell on to my ear, thinking it was a leaf I brushed it off, only to find it was this Mantis. A species we see more often these days - they are usually found north of the Great Dividing Range.
My flying soul 🎶
As the floating balloons inside me drift, I'm captivated by the magic of this moment. They are floating right in front of my eyes, as if each one carries the color of a dream of mine. The cigarette clutched between my lips slowly sends out the smoke of my dreams; with every breath, I become a little more free. The meerkat or Suricata suricatta is a small mongoose found in southern Africa. It is characterised by a broad head, large eyes, a pointed snout, long legs, a thin tapering tail, and a brindled coat pattern. In memory of pilot Michael Stephen Owen who was killed aged 29 in Cessna F150G G-AVPG at Denham exactly 40 years ago on December 19, 1968.
