I should have waited for the place to fill up to get more atmosphere, but there will be people who would have preferred this shot with no humans in it.
The Howard Brothers & Sons steam galloper in the background is a beauty. Right at its heart is a steam engine very similar to the traction engines you see elsewhere. The old Austin raceway cars you see in the foreground are not steam powered but the kids are pedalling like f--- in their Series 1 Nissan Jake.

Had a nice day in the sun, hello to everyone I met and thanks to Barry our leader :-)
This is a pseudo HDR shot. Hopefully I have a few more to upload later...
12/10/17. #1746. Serendipity - the occurrence and development of events by chance in a happy or beneficial way.
The sun was perfectly placed as I passed by the Funfair setting up on Adur Rec this evening.
Taken at the Ocean Beach funfair, Rhyl just before it was closed down and all the rides were dismantled
I'm at the yearly funfair in Tilburg, one of the biggest funfairs in Europe. The busiest day of the funfair is always Pink Monday when lots of LGTBI and other open-minded people visit the funfair; usually about 250,000 people join the fun. On Pink Monday everything is decorated in pink, T-girls like me are really appreciated and most people are wearing pink. I join the pink tradition in my own silky style, wearing a pink satin heart top and a pink satin skirt. The weather is beautifully sunny and it promises to be an amazing day.
I'm at the Oktoberfest funfair and am enjoying the sunny weather, the people having fun and just being girly outside in public. I'm not so much of a type do all the funfair attractions; I have a fear of heights and the crazy rides would probably mess up my dress and hair. I prefer a leisurely walk instead, being feminine in my traditional Dirndl dress, enjoying the Oktoberfest atmosphere and interacting with the friendly people around. I didn't notice when this photo was taken, but surely the lady on the right has spotted me and I made her smile. Nice!
Big wheels keep on turning ... another one from the recent funfair at the Donore Road Industrial Estate.
