Traditonally, the Faversham Torchlit Carnival Procession was, (and I believe still is), held on the second Saturday in October, followed by a funfair on the Recreation Ground

a selection of photos taken at sanquhar , the annual funfair presented by m stirling and sons runs for the first 2 weeks in august ending on the saturday night after the annual riding of the marches

I took a number of pictures of this view across the city with the Christmas funfair at Alexa in the foreground. The ferris wheel and rides are all brightly lit after dark, but I preferred the calmer atmosphere of this one, taken after the fair had closed for the night.
