Inspired by Leanne Boultons photostream, took a few candid shots on holiday. Loved the excitement of 'will I or won't I get caught' ... In this case, I'm glad I didn't!
This fair has been set for a while but 20mph + winds in around 2 C combined with snizzle don't really entice one. Its been grey and cold for about a week now.
I don't understand how anyone can take photos in sub zero temps if windy as can't use proper gloves and press the buttons?
Tried a few takes of the funfair down at Ocean Terminal at Edinburgh but most shots blurred due to the strong winds and having to extend my tripod too high. After 15 mins with biting winds I gave up so this was my best attempt.
Shot with the Canon 70-200mm F4 non IS and liking the star effect from the lens and lack of flare.
Finland, Helsinki: A British travelling funfair lighting up the darkening autumn evening in Kamppi district close to the city centre. Photo taken with a 30 seconds exposure through a fisheye lens.

I popped up to Victoria Coach Station today (24/07/22) to witness the 90th Anniversary Running Day based in the iconic London coach station. Route 090 left every half hour for a run out to Hammersmith Bus Station, the A1 Airbus service similarly ran to Hammersmith and route 11 saw a number of Routemasters and RTs run to Aldwych and back. An excellent day all round!
