Last week I was scrolling through my photostream and I came to the conclusion that 3 elements come back very often in my pictures: mirrors/reflection, hearts and black/white. So this week, it will be no different. :)

I was determined to make a great picture this week. I even started over multiple times. After a lot of hard work, this is the result! I am pretty happy with it because this is almost exactly what I had in mind before taking this picture. :)

HMM to everybody! Enjoy all the beautiful pictures in the MM-group!

Thanks for the views, faves and comments! Every single one is much appreciated!

Monthly challenge:

As I said on my picture for the MM-theme 'Inspired by a song', I will set myself a monthly challenge. Each month I will make a picture that is inspired by a song of Eric Prydz.

This picture is for February and is inspired by :

Pryda (aka Eric Prydz) - Loving you

This is my most interesting and most commented picture on flickr. It also happens to be my favourite. It was a cold but calm February night and it was just about to rain. I find that I prefer clouds in night shooting because the lights from the condo towers creates an awesome halo effect. The only thing that I think about this shot is that if I had a boat that night I might have tried to shoot some more perspectives!

Added to the Cream of the Crop pool as most interesting. This image is not HDR and has not been modified in any way.

This is the second last picture of my project for 2017 dedicated to music tracks of Eric Prydz. I chose a more famous track of the Swedish producer. It's called 'Generate' and has only 3 lines of lyrics which you can find down below together with the link to the song. These 3 sentences are 'to the point' and so I was inspired to create this minimalistic image.

Lyrics of the track:

All of the love we generate

The only thing that carries me on

There's nothing we need that it can't create

Walking has been my therapy for quarantine. It's an exercise in perception, as much as a form of physical exertion. Trees have become my constant companions. I seek out their shadows as I would an old friend, looking for subtle shifts in size, shape and color. These reveal more to me than any weather report. The deep blue of winter shadows call to me and my heart leaps in response. Returning home I remind myself that I can't actually photosynthesize.

The World is Too Much With Us

This is going to be tough.

The movers come tomorrow, but we remain behind for a short while. I’ve been woefully slow to publish of late, too much going on. I started this blog as I moved to California, absolutely enthralled with the west coast.

I’ve never lost that love of place, and I want to do something proper to mark the occasion of my leaving. I simply don’t have the time right now.

So hold tight, come back often, and rest assured that I’m working on something of a retrospective to say goodbye to California.

For now, here is Sonoma Coast looking as gloomy as my heart is to leave—brooding, tempestuous, and full to bursting.

This site and my photography will continue undaunted, but I must, for now, say goodbye to this rugged land.

While the professional photographers were waiting for Zhen Zhen to come down from the tree, our pretty girl was posing for the real photographers (those that love her and come to see her every week).

clear eyes, full hearts, can't lose.

(friday night lights)

Nadie alrededor.

Y un humo que crece. Lame las paredes y los ventrículos. El filo desgastado de mis pulmones. Se pincha. Se deshace en mis manos. La esperanza.

Abajo.

Y luego, vuelve imbatible a lo alto, a planear. Negro.

Yo...

Solitario. Como el humo en mí.

(¿Comillas?)

If I try to think of the old days, mightier thoughts intervene. Peace is fled together with heart and love. I must go seek them. I would like to tell you whither, but I do not know. Thither where the Mother of All Things lives, the Veiled Virgin. My desire is aflame for Her.

Our hearts let us know it was time for a refill. This is our 12 week old little blue girl Sadie. And yes, that is a touch of dirt on her little nose--we may go round and round in my garden!

Yesss, I know....I did a cat. lol I am not a fan of tons of cat photos but I love a good cat...and he is my good cat named Romeo. How can I resist when I am sitting in my rocking chair...with the camera close by of course(always be ready with kids around) and the cat desides to sit in a perfect beam of light. I don't think he liked me disturbing his peace but he kindly stayed for a few minutes. Romeo stole our heart with love since we adopted him when he was a baby. And you know I like to be a tad different sometimes so when we found out that he had 6 toes on each front paw...I had to have this wonderful baby kitten that with is differences he loves fullheartly. That was 6 1/2 yrs ago.

Have a great day my friends~ Andrea
