Marina Lima was born in Rio de Janeiro in 1955.
She began her career in 1979 and has been a successful pop star since 1984 (just Marina by then; she added her surname to her stage name in the '90s). Marina's most regular partner has been her brother, philosopher Antonio Cicero.
Her biggest hits are "Fullgas" (Marina/Antonio Cicero), "À Francesa" (Marina/Antonio Cicero), "Pra Começar" (Marina/Antonio Cicero), "Nada Por Mim" (Herbert Viana/Paula Toller), "Eu Te Amo Você" (Kiko Zambianchi).

1985 Milk Race - Stage 1 - Bournemouth to Bristol, bloody cold, and pissing down with rain for the whole 120 miles, the peleton was in sight of the finish when I took this shot, and therefore flat out, or 'Full Gas' as they say nowadays, the bloke in red was a double hard bastard -- a Soviet, the Soviets were good, indeed, they had dominated the race for many years, that era was about to end ....the podium went to young Belgian Eric Van Lanker.
