2 parts kiwi fruit, 1 part raspberry with a shot of tonic and a very sharp kitchen knife!

Had to be fruit this week, I don’t think I’ve taken a shot like this for MM, long overdue!

The title is from an iPad game from way back!

No, this isn’t an outtake from previous themes! I’ve shot recent images for bubbles and orange, so this shakes them up into one!

Unfortunately no alcohol was consumed in the making of this image.

HAAII-YAH!!!

How to do this shot on the blog. ;)

My new favorite iPhone game is FRUIT NINJA!

The objective is... to slice fruit. That's pretty much it.

Sounds boring, but easily one of the most addictive games ever.

Much harder in real life.

For iPad users, I have confirmation from one of the producers at HalfBrick Studios that Fruit Ninja HD is coming soon!

I've been doing a lot of reading as of late. I was looking through one of my many boxes of books last week (I loved reading in high school), and stumbled upon a book by Tom Clancy titled Rainbow Six. I never got around to reading it when I bought it at a local used book store many years ago. Now that I am 400 pages in, I can say it is a typical Tom Clancy war-time novel ... though this particular books seems to deal in [counter] terrorism. Great stuff.

I also spent Saturday in Half Moon Bay. Some of my Saturday anyways. I spent some time in a small cozy bookstore called Ocean Books. They deal only in used and out of print books, needless to say that they have some interesting things on their shelves. I found a little book titled, The Birth of the Mind. I'm barely into it at the moment (yes, I am reading two books at the simultaneously), but it is really interesting. Check it out on Amazon (linked) for a quick synopsis. More of a science type book though. And best of all ... I got a mint condition copy, that could be mistaken for new, for $6. Win.

This is a weird installment. I'm not sure how even, I, feel about it. I was aiming for a Fruit Ninja-esque theme. You know, that popular iPhone, iTouch, iPad app where you just slice 'n dice those fruits all day long. Knocking them out. *shing shing shing*

I would've have used something softer, like a tomahto, but I wasn't in the mood to clean up a mess, so I used a stiffer fruit. I gave this shot 74 tries, and chose the best out of the batch.

Fruit ninja is a nice game when you're bored, and not much else is going on, or if you're looking to burn a couple minutes while waiting for something, or someone.

I was tempted to use blue gels (my favorite!) as I did many weeks back, but instead opted for a more ... "exuberant" color :)

I'm just bored and haven't been taking any pictures for ages. Inspired by Christophe Kiciak's Tomato Ninja, I'm trying out my own version. Not as good... try again next time.

Words to the Picture

I was thinking of eating more Fruits during the day, but sometimes, the kind that you want isn’t available or is out of stock. Specially exotic fruits that I use to know back in the Philippines .. kinda miss them a lot ..

Which one would you pick?
