I am sorry to say that I no longer manage to follow up by commenting and thanking everybody personally, but I want you to know that I truly love every comment and fav I get from you and it gives me inspiration to take more pictures :-)
Thanks to everyone who takes the time to view, comment, and fave my photo.
After our recent cold snap, I headed out to a nearby waterfall (Hayward Falls, Mission, B.C.) and was pleasantly surprised at what I found.
It´s a little bit difficult to create a frozen bubble.
It´s not my first try ;-)
But in the morning with the first sunbeams there it works ;-)

I had a day off and decided to go to the beach. When I arrived at the seashore after a 1.5 hour drive, it was freezing -13c, the wind was from the sea and the sun was shining from a cloudless sky, the weather was beautiful and bitterly cold. The icy beaches and rocks were really beautiful. I saw in my mind the hundreds of pictures that I could photograph during the day. But the weather was so cold that both me, my dog and my camera gradually froze like the landscape. We were on the beach for 3.5 hours, I made a campfire and made coffee and heated food for myself and my dog, but in the end I decided to go home, Helmi looked so miserable. I only managed to get a few good photos with a frozen camera and icy fingers. Sometimes I wonder what drives me to take photos despite the circumstances. Maybe you know that feeling too.

An Umbellifer plant, dead and dried, now covered in winter's icy grip and ice crystals from a few heavy frosts cover every surface.
Incredibly this is not Photoshop trickery or infrared, this is the result of freezing fog (hoarfrost) yesterday morning!
An absolute joy to see this with all the tree turning white without snow or frost on the ground, I couldn't believe my luck when I stumbled across this stunning tree!

Some moisture on my lens immediately froze when I left the house at -14 degrees celsius. So this effect wasn't planned for or created in post but I liked it enough to keep the image.
