I had to post today, because it is Friday the 13th (we already had one in February!)
Spring is around the corner!
This was taken in May 2008 in the village I grew up in Switzerland (Nassenwil, called Nashville by the locals!)
Time ticks away on the dreaded "Friday the 13th". Luckily ... I'm not superstitious! ... HMM :)

Do you ever get a bit twitchy as the light fades and you are surrounded by dark shapes in a forest? I do. I saw Hissing Sid, or was it a dragon, about to ambush me.
Anyhow, reasons to be cheerful,
1. It's Friday. The weekend is here. Never mind the weather forecast is shite
2. The Yorkshire Ripper has died. Covid-19's most popular victim
3. Dominic Cummings has confirmed he is leaving his job. And, it's strongly rumoured, is joining the Labour Party
4. Mark Dixon is back on flickr. Now we can all groan again. At his humour and music tastes!
Yorkshire Air Museum's Halifax looking very atmospheric at last year's Timeline Events' nightshoot. An airframe I've wanted to photograph for a while, and the smoke machine certainly did not disappoint.
Carry this Hockey mask everywhere just incase a situation for a photo occurs, used at the gap of the water flow here to get the water through the holes, just playing around with effects.

I thought at first that I had a nightmare but when I woke up I figure it out that my finger was injured & my camera was damaged too. I checked my camera and I notice only one creepy photo that I never made… I saw this scary image. I always thought that Chucky is just a fictional character. I figure it out that blood on his knife is probably my blood. I can’t solve this mystical riddle…
With the heat and lack of water, some parts of our garden are in a sad state ... but still beautiful in a derelict way ...

Well it is Friday 13th. Delivered this morning.
So far we've had a leak through a newly replaced and painted ceiling. Two valves seizing on a circulation pump, a holiday cottage swimming pool filter blocked up with lavatory paper and a smashed 43" smart TV (in the same property). Those are just the things I know about of course.
edit. Two fly tips and a break-in at our Village Club followed

This is one of the Bald Eagles that we were able to experience while drifting down a portion of the Skagit River this past Friday 13th.
The Eagles are at the Skagit river to eat the dead Chum Salmon that have recently spawned in the river and are now dead and which are floating down the river, becoming grounded on the gravel bars in the river. The Eagles sit in the trees on either bank of the river, watching for a Salmon carcass to float down the river.
And Yes, it can be very hard to hold a zoom lens stable while floating down the Skagit river (in a drift boat) after a rash of rain storms have raised the level of the river by several feet, haha.
Finally another Yes, being in Washington, it was indeed raining during this float trip. So, if you decide to take a similar float trip, make sure that you wear good, full-body, rain gear. If you are prepared for the weather (as we were), this trip can be an incredibly fun experience!!!
