I noticed the unfolding petals in the centre of this apricot rose looks like the shutters of a camera aperture.

Variegated Rose taken at the International Rose Garden, Adelaide Botanical Garden during my last visit to Adelaide.
I was surprised how this image turned out. It was just past noon and it was very bright with the overhead sun.
I used a plastic shower cap ( my improvised filter ) which fit nicely into my open palm in one hand to block the sunlight and I took the picture with the other hand.

The Title:
This photo was taken on the 13th of October 2017. Coincidentally, it was a Friday hence the title! (Not the famous film series)
Across the meadow to Hogwarts.
Alnwick Castle, home of the Duke of Northumberland. This famous castle has been used for various locations by film and tv companies but is mostly famous for being Hogwarts, the school attended by Harry Potter.
The River Aln meanders through the estate and it's a lovely peaceful walk across the meadow towards to castle.

I signed up with Airbnb and I have my first people coming on Friday. However, I have discovered a down side to Airbnb. They report all your income to the IRS..;( I didn't see that coming. So, I'm still listing room mate wanted in the newspapers..:).

..lol..You had to know I took more than one drive by fence shot..;).However, I think this is the last one I'll post. They others don't do as much for me. This one didn't either until I ran it through Topaz Studio.
There was an art festival going on while I was at the coast. I had forgotten that Rockport was an art community. After taking this pic I went and walked around the in side and was really impressed by the work of so many artist. However, most of it was paintings. I hate the fact that people to recognize photography as art. Sure there was some photography work but selling for so much less than the paintings.
Other than that..;) The festival was fun. There was live music, lots of different foods and of course, the rides. I didn't go on the rides..:)

Not every boat goes out in the morning I guess. And, maybe it can't. Because of the high tide it's hard to see the fence part. Plus, it's not much of a fence..;)
Hope all my American contacts had a wonderful Thanksgiving and everyone have a wonderful weekend. I have to work Friday and Saturday but I'm taking a week off Yay!
It's starting to look a lot like Christmas..:)) Christmas light shows are everywhere this time of year.

When I did a factory reboot, I thought I moved my files to an external hard drive, but I must have missed the exported files. Because, I can't find any of my FF images..;( This one works, but just.
I'm going to be working 8 to 5 for a while, but I'll stick my head in when I can.

This is a sheep pen. Not sure why they don't want the sheep to see out.
The A/C drain pan busted and drained on my bed and floor through a new hole in the ceiling..:)So the repair crews have been here today repairing the ceiling. I guess the floor people will be here next week. In the mean time, I've been sleeping in the computer room.
