I bought 2 lbs of black cherries Yesterday and they almost all gone, I love cherries.

They arrived yesterday to pose for Stillleben No. 3. Didn't get everything we ordered but enough to be happy even though the proverbial grapes in still life didn't show.

....with fresh fruit and vitamins

Macro Mondays theme, August 14: staying healthy

I hope I'm forgiven: this is the first time I've been able to put a shot meant for MM in early for another group or two.

My hometown in Greece was big producer of Cherries.

#93/118/2018 'staying healthy'

Well, it's fruit for thought innit? :)

Happy 4th of July to all Americans,

Most will go away for a long weekend, others will have Barbecue, and the shores will be full at our beaches.

This one is with my Nikon D80 from 2014.

When we buy Cherries usually in 2 Lb bags they finish in about one week, I just love them especially the dark ones.

> A large **antique weathered wooden window** opens onto a summer garden bathed in light, filled with green foliage, pink and yellow flowers, natural depth, and soft photographic bokeh. The window should feature convincingly aged wood, irregular fibers, tiny cracks, subtle patina, and predominantly matte reactions to the light.

>

> In the foreground, resting on an **old rustic wooden table**, stands a large **white sculpted ceramic pitcher**, decorated with delicate floral reliefs. Its surface is subtly satin-finished, with soft diffused reflections, slight material variations, and delicate shadows within the embossed details. The pitcher overflows with an extremely generous yet natural bouquet of peach roses, coral roses, pink peonies, pale lilies, tiny red flowers, orange blossoms, cream hydrangeas, and irregular foliage.

>

> The flowers must display a **high degree of botanical naturalism**: petals of different sizes, curvatures, thicknesses, and orientations; varied stages of blooming; a few subtly wrinkled or imperfect petals; delicate translucency where sunlight passes through them; irregular densities; and organic overlaps. No cloned flowers or excessively regular distribution.

>

> The stems and foliage should reveal fine veins, variations of green, subtle curves, partially hidden leaves, a few slightly dry or more matte areas, natural orientations, and physically credible reactions to backlighting.

>

> Naturally arranged across the table are **clusters of white, pink, and dark grapes**, **whole and sliced oranges**, **peaches or nectarines**, several **red and dark berries**, and a scattering of smaller fruits. The fruits must be biologically credible: subtly different sizes, imperfectly rounded forms, finely porous skins, delicate natural bloom on some grapes, variations in ripeness, tiny organic imperfections, and subtle differences in gloss and translucency according to each type of skin.

>

> A freshly sliced orange reveals realistic juicy flesh, visible internal fibers, subtly translucent pulp, and natural moisture without any plastic appearance.

>

> Include an **antique transparent glass** with faceted or subtly embossed detailing, displaying true transparency, refraction, micro-reflections, and physically coherent optical distortions. To the left or in the foreground, an **antique cream-colored cloth embroidered or printed with red floral motifs** rests in soft folds, with credible textile texture, visible fine fibers, and natural weight.

>

> The light enters through the window during a **summer Golden Hour**, with a rich, warm golden intensity that remains selective rather than uniform. The light should strike certain flowers, leaves, fruits, areas of the pitcher, and sections of the wood according to their actual orientation, while protected areas retain deeper, more neutral shadows. Petals should display subtle translucency, fruits localized specular highlights, ceramic soft reflections, glass realistic refraction and occasional highlights, while the wood remains predominantly matte.

>

> Preserve genuine photographic depth: an extremely detailed foreground, the bouquet as the dominant subject, fruits arranged slightly lower in the composition, the window acting as a visual transition, followed by a softer and brighter garden in the background. The exterior bokeh should contain circles of confusion with varied sizes and intensities, avoiding identical shapes or artificial repetition.

>

> Use a rich yet natural palette of coral, peach, powder pink, deep red, orange, golden yellow, tender green, cream, and the warm brown tones of aged wood. Avoid uniformly excessive saturation. The image should remain luminous, summery, warm, and generous, evoking the atmosphere of a late August afternoon.

This all fresh fruit flan was made on a crumb base, with a layer of chocolate, then cream and followed by the all fresh fruit. I bought this for a special birthday celebration and it was as delicious as it looked!

Chocolates will be great but some Cherries would do just fine, or maybe a diamond ring inside a bouquet of roses!
