Fresh photos on Flickr

We found some fresh wasabi root at the jogai-shijo (outer market). The plant grows naturally along stream beds in mountain river valleys in Japan. This was the first time I saw some fresh wasabi since here we can only get wasabi in a tube. And it tastes different too; less spicy but more of a delicate perfume to it. Better if you ask me.

This week's photo, for the theme of Fresh as suggested by Meevana is 'Fresh Ideas '- I couldn't pick from the photos because they were all very different,so difficult to compare, so she helped out and selected this one. I was struggling to write a report, and had just scraped what I'd come up with so far, deciding I needed a new approach and it hit me - I need a 'fresh' approach and some 'fresh' ideas - aha, new photo op! So that amused me when I was stressing. As always, you can see the other photos I came up with on the theme on my account - let me know if you agree on the choice!

I liked this theme, even though it was difficult. It forced me to think, as there's few obvious choices, and that was very helpful because rather than sit on the bus or at home dwelling on what I have or haven't eaten that day, I found myself absorbed in pondering the theme and looking around me for inspirations. Unfortauntly the bloody freezing weather and the fact I really feel the cold a lot prevented me from getting out too much and taking lots of pics, but hopefully you'lllike what I did manage to get.
