Inspired by this video: Urban Skiing in Stockholm w/ Jesper Tjader and Oystein Braten - Send It - EP 1 as well as the documentary-film Supervention.

The heights of the cells correspond to population, binned into one degree grid cells (data courtesy of SEDAC /NASA, using data from 2000).
The view is from above Central Russia, looking SW towards the Mediterranean and over Africa. The Americas are the islands in the distance. The flat plain in the center is the Sahara.
Perspective foreshortening means it's difficult to compare heights meaningfully - I was aiming more for something that looked like a futuristic city.
Used QGIS, Blender and a python script. Used the new freestyle rendering options in Blender to mimic the 'architectural drawing' feel you can get in SketchUp.
My dad and I drove around the city today looking for snowboarders. We came across these guys doing jumps off a ramp that build on Citadel Hill in Halifax. Got very close and had a great time shooting them from all angles. This is one of favorites of the day.
Another one from the series of the BMX-freestyle demonstration during our street party..
Press "L", you'll be amazed...
Freestyle footballer Iya Traore doing his daily routine at the steps of the Basilica of the Sacré Coeur in Montmartre.
The freestyle is played by those, who have passed the mandatory tricks well enough. It is 2 minutes playing the tricks of the player's chioce with a music of chioce. Jan had picked Hudson Mohawke's "Chimes" and developed a real choreography, which he practiced for almost 2 months. I hope, the echos of that song will leave my ear until Chirstmas.
El kitesurf freestyle se basa en realizar trucos que se pueden realizar totalmente suelto o enganchado al arnés y demostrar tus habilidades técnicas.
Freestyle kitesurfing is all about performing tricks that can be done completely free or attached to a harness, demonstrating your technical skills.
The freestyle worked out well. Since Jan was best @ mandatory tricks, he was last on stage and the audience was "in the mood". His tricks worked out great, nobody had noticed his two screw-ups, because he just continued playing in the perfect timing. He has really rocked that stage!
Another freestyle MOC from me; this time it was inspired by one of the Behind the Scene of Supervention: «The making of Supervention» - episode 4: Horgmo and Tjäder (English subtitles) featuring Jesper Tjäder on skis and Torstein Horgmo on snowboard.
The song, coming instead from Supervention directly, is From Nowhere by Dan Croll
Enjoy! d:-)
