For most of its length the River Tamar marks the boundary between Cornwall on this side and Devon on the other. There was once a ferry here that took people (and then cars) across the river from Saltash to St Budeaux on the outskirts of Plymouth, but this was replaced by the large suspension bridge (out of shot to the left) in the early 1960s. Saltash was developed by the Normans and at one time was the only franchised seaport between Dartmouth and Fowey, long before Plymouth became established.
The Cross-Harbour Tunnel is the first tunnel in Hong Kong built under water. It has become one of the most congested roads (mainly towards Hong Kong Island direction) in Hong Kong and the world. The tunnel was constructed using the Immersed tube method.
Constructed by a private company and operated under a 30-year franchise, the 1.8 km-long tunnel crossing opened in 1972, providing the first road link between Kowloon and Hong Kong Island; Cross-harbour vehicular traffic depended on ferries before the tunnel was built.
Although there have been Eastern Harbour Crossing and Western Harbour Crossing diversion, but the two high toll (charge from HK $ 13 - $ 128 range), and the convenient geographic location are not as The Cross-Harbour Tunnel, The Cross-Harbour Tunnel congestion and therefore not only failed to improve and deteriorating, especially on weekends and holidays, and sometimes to midnight queues can still be seen.
Most modern truck stops, whether owned by a major truck stop corporation or a franchise, are clean and have new fueling pumps and credit card readers. Pasco Washington is a trucking hub for this part of Washington, trucks everywhere, but the truck stops are all old and worn out. A new or updated truck stop here would do well.

This is Rhydon, the dinosaur-like Pokemon. Rhydon's horn is capable of drilling through rocks and even creating tunnels.
His strong hide is like armor that can withstand immense physical damage even from a cannonball blast.
He even has other strange features as well.
Some have even said that Rhydon has the ability to surf as well.
After seeing a good part usage for his horn, I have constructed Rhydon to become more
like a titan (that's why he's a little bigger than he should).

US-27 Twin Drive In: I remember this drive-in being opened during the Covid pandemic where folks could stay in their cars. Kentucky travel restrictions and gatherings of fewer than 10 people ended in May of 2020.
The drive-in shuttered its gates in 2021. Gone. Dark. Ceased to be.
A few basic facts:
More than 14800 parts
Over 1000 hours of work (total project duration 1 year)
A lot of fun !
Overall, the scene is more filled than my Classic Space Outpost. But in a Blacktronbase is much going on.
Here is my last part of the Blacktron II special Forces series, as I imagine a base of evil guys. I could not fit all parts into this scene because there are just too many, but I am satisfied with the result. And I hope very much you like it.
The Body Shop International Limited, trading as The Body Shop, is a British cosmetics, skin care and perfume company.
Founded in 1976 by Anita Roddick, the company currently has a range of 1,000 products sold in about 3,000 stores, divided between those owned by the company and franchised outlets in more than 65 countries.
Originally trading from Brighton, the company is now based in London Bridge and Littlehampton, West Sussex, and is owned by Brazilian cosmetics company Natura as a subsidiary of the Natura & Co group. The company had been owned by the French cosmetics company L'Oréal between 2006 and 2017. In September 2017, L'Oréal sold the company to Brazilian Natura & Co for £880 million. The original Body Shop, unaffiliated with Anita Roddick or The Body Shop International Limited, was opened in Berkeley, California in 1970 by Peggy Short and Jane Saunders. The shop featured dark green walls, locally made skin care products, and custom scenting with essential oils. The products were sold in simple containers with handwritten labels, and a discount was given to customers who brought in empty containers for refills.
Anita Roddick opened her own health and beauty shop, also named The Body Shop, in her hometown of Brighton in 1976. She started a business with the motivation to simply "make a living for herself and her two daughters while her husband was away travelling."
The business's original vision was to sell products with ethically-sourced, cruelty-free and natural ingredients. None of Roddick's products were tested on animals, and the ingredients were sourced directly from producers.
The shop began trading with just 25 products. Roddick had purchased urine sample bottles from a nearby hospital to sell her products in, but did not have enough of them, creating the business's refillable bottles policy. Labels were hand-written and Roddick did not advertise explicitly, preferring to rely on local press instead. In 1977, Roddick purchased another shop through selling 50% of the business to a local garage owner. Roddick's partner, Gordon, returned to Brighton from America in this time, and suggested the business foster growth through franchising. By 1984, the business had 138 stores, 87 of which were not located in the United Kingdom. By 1994, 89% of the business's locations would be franchises. The business went public in April 1984, and was floated on London's Unlisted Securities Market, opening at a price of 95p, with the Roddicks keeping 27.6% shares in the company, and Anita continued as managing director so as to retain control of the company's direction. After it obtained a full listing on the London Stock Exchange, share prices in the company increased dramatically, with prices rising 10,944 percent in the first eight years.
In 1987, Roddick offered $3.5 million to the owners of the original Body Shop, Peggy Short and Jane Saunders, for the exclusive rights to the business's name. They agreed to the sale, and in 1992 changed their business's name to "Body Time". The business closed in 2018.
After acquiring the US rights to the name, the UK business began trading in the United States in 1988, with all new stores in the States being company-owned until 1990.[citation needed]
Throughout the 1980s and 90s, the company joined a number of campaigns related to social responsibility and environmental issues. These included a "Trade Not Aid" campaign in 1987, wherein the company sourced some of its ingredients directly from the native communities they originated from. The company also made alliances with Greenpeace and Amnesty International.

A departure from norm of what I’ve been posting, but there was a special celebration in New Jersey. Today March 8th, 2014 at the “Rock” otherwise known as the Prudential Center in Downtown Newark, the New Jersey Devils Franchise celebrated the twentieth anniversary of their first Stanley Cup in 1995 when they were still playing what at that time was called the Brendan Byrne Arena in the New Jersey Meadowlands Sports Complex by holding a ceremony prior to tonight’s game that I unfortunately could not get tickets to. They brought back much of that team including the victorious coach Jacques Lemaire and most of the players & heroes including recently retired goaltender Martin Broudeur, number 30 and the ‘captain’ Scott Stevens number 4. To commemorate that special memory, I’m posting this last image of Marty Broudeur that I took at the Prudential Center in March of 2012 at a game I went with son to where the Devils beat the visiting Philadelphia Flyers the last season that they made a Stanley Cup run losing to the Los Angeles Kings.
Martin Pierre Broudeur who will surely find his way to the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto Canada, is the National Hockey League all time leader in wins (691), losses (397), shutouts(125) and games played(1266) and led the New Jersey Devils Club to 3 Stanley Cups in 5 Stanley Cup Finals appearances, 2 Olympic Golds for Team Canada. Congrats to all those players who brought New Jersey it first title against the Detroit Redwings and now that the Nets are in Brooklyn, New Jersey’s only team.

These units have been ordered as part of a franchise agreement to replace 27 year old class 442 units on Gatwick Express. services.
Carrying a hybrid Northern Trains / West Yorkshire PTE livery, 333005 makes a colourful splash as it crosses the flood plain of the river Aire near Cononley. The unit was working the 1426 Leeds to Skipton service.
The class 333s were built by CAF at Zaragoza, Spain, under contract from Siemens. Entering service as 3-car units in 2001, they became 4-car units in 2003 and have spent the subsequent 23 years working between Leeds, Bradford, Ilkley and Skipton.
The design of the class 333 followed closely that of the class 332, introduced in 1998 to operate between London and Heathrow Airport. These units were withdrawn from service in 2020, so in 2024 the 333s are the only example of this design still in use.
Arriva Rail North’s franchise win in 2015 committed to replacing the fleet with new trains. This did not occur, though in 2024 the class 333s share their duties with newer, CAF-built class 331 units.

Bristol Flyers vs London Lions, British Basketball League (BBL) game on Sunday 2nd April 2023, at SGS WISE Arena, New Road, Stoke Gifford, Bristol, during the 2022-23 season.
About the photographs.
Here, we have the Bristol Flyers players doing warming up before the start of their home game against the London Lions.
The kit they wear is not the actual jersey and shorts they play in, those shirts are simply put on over their actual jersey.
In the first photograph (0030), we have one of the players warming himself up by doing some dunks, while other players watch and wait for their turn.
In the next photo (0036), this is one of the Flyers players getting the ball that may have been passed onto him. In the background, you can see the other players doing some kind of jogging as part of the warm up.
The photos were shot with a 50mm lens on the Nikon D200, and taken from my courtside seat.
The game ended with Flyers 87 – 82 Lions, after an extra time due to being tied at the end of the game.
About the teams.
The Bristol Flyers was formed in 2006 by a merger of two former Bristol based teams, the Filton Flyers and the Bristol Academy, to become known as Bristol Academy Flyers. They started in the English Basketball League, in Division 2, and one year later, they moved up to Division 1.
By 2013, they got financial backing from the owner of Bristol City football club. As part of the deal, they moved into the top level franchise based BBL, for the 2014-15 season, that was when they became known simply as Bristol Flyers. Their highest finish in BBL was 4th place during the 2021-22 season.
London Lions actually started out as Hemel Hempstead Laker in 1977, and changed their name to Hemel Royals before moving to Watford, and finally moved to Milton Keynes.
They became known as Milton Keynes Lions, and that was when their performance improved, including winning the BBL Cup during the 2007-08 season.
By 2012, due to losing their home arena in Milton Keynes, they were relocated to London, thus renamed as the London Lions.

The modern logo of God's Wonderful Railway. Greater Western is a railway franchise for the provision of passenger services from London Paddington to the Cotswolds, West of England, South West England and South Wales. The current holder is Great Western Railway.
The Great Western Railway (GWR) was a British railway company that linked London with the south-west and west of England, the West Midlands, and most of Wales. It was founded in 1833, received its enabling Act of Parliament on 31 August 1835 and ran its first trains in 1838. It was engineered by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, who chose a broad gauge of 7 ft (2,134 mm)—later slightly widened to 7 ft 1⁄4 in (2,140 mm)—but, from 1854, a series of amalgamations saw it also operate 4 ft 8 1⁄2 in (1,435 mm) standard-gauge trains; the last broad-gauge services were operated in 1892. The GWR was the only company to keep its identity through the Railways Act 1921, which amalgamated it with the remaining independent railways within its territory, and it was finally merged at the end of 1947 when it was nationalised and became the Western Region of British Railways.
The GWR was called by some "God's Wonderful Railway" and by others the "Great Way Round" but it was famed as the "Holiday Line", taking many people to English and Bristol Channel resorts in the West Country as well as the far south-west of England such as Torquay in Devon, Minehead in Somerset, and Newquay and St Ives in Cornwall. The company's locomotives, many of which were built in the company's workshops at Swindon, were painted a Brunswick green colour while, for most of its existence, it used a two-tone "chocolate and cream" livery for its passenger coaches. Goods wagons were painted red but this was later changed to mid-grey.
Great Western trains included long-distance express services such as the Flying Dutchman, the Cornish Riviera Express and the Cheltenham Spa Express. It also operated many suburban and rural services, some operated by steam railmotors or autotrains. The company pioneered the use of larger, more economic goods wagons than were usual in Britain. It operated a network of road motor (bus) routes, was a part of the Railway Air Services, and owned ships, docks and hotels.
