over the weekend i participated in the Zionsville Recycled Art Market. it was my very first professional art fair and i was nervous as all get out!...the theme was to use all recycled items, which was right up my alley since i work mostly with found objects...this show embodied everything i have been working for these last 2 years and i was excited but anxious about putting my art out there in the professional world, but in the end my display turned out better than i could have imagined!! this video was taken from my view point as potential customers milled over my art, i hid my camera behind a picture frame and let the day unfold around me, and as i sat there in my booth taking in the sights and sounds of the market all i could think about was how none of this would have been possible without the unconditional love and support of those few closest to me...i couldn't have done it without them...becuz sooner or later love comes inside you, gets behind you, and takes you under it's wing...

This is a composite photo of experimental musicians Abel Ashes (on the left) and Eric Hensel (on the right) performing at Lestat's Coffeehouse in San Diego in 2001 during the Found Objects improvised music concert series. The four live pieces included on the new Abel Ashes CD "Eat Plastic and Other Elements" were recorded during this concert series.
