Taking a walk about the city after a fresh snow fall and found these gloves as it. I am guessing someone found and put on fence for owner to find. Like the way snow is sitting - perhaps to throw at other glove? Lol

I know it should be a new photo but...struggling.

I found this naturally grown bouquet of poppies inconspicuously at the edge of a field. Since it grew in a ditch, it was basically invisible from the path.
Luckily I hiked cross-country around the field to look for just such things.

Fall colors this year were beautiful where they hit, but unfortunately the drought across much of Minnesota hindered many places from turning at all. I found this beautiful patch of Maples along the Mississippi River in southern Minnesota. Thankfully even in harsh conditions beauty can still be found everywhere you look. This serves as a reminder that even in the midst of our chaotic world that God still made beauty and He has not forgotten His people. Praise be to God for the love and blessing He has shown us!
Or almost Portofino, since I researched a bit and this isn't actually part of the city, it's just outside it, near Port Bay. The weather was a bit stormy, just how I like it, and with a bit of long exposure, I'm quite happy with this image.
I wanted to visit Portofino even when I was little, since I often heard an italian song on the radio... www.youtube.com/watch?v=QRLicHKhLYI
Found on a strange place, there was a minute of sun in a murky day. Wandering around there was a camera full of sorrow, that no good shot was shot there. Yet the minute was found, on the strange place and so the camera wasn't full of sorrow anymore.

I found this little pansy growing in the veg garden..not having grown any for several years, I was surprised and pleased to see it glowing blue amongst the weeds and parsnips...moved to a place of honor in the front grarden..
Black Terns are colony nesters found in shallow lakes, marshes, sloughs, and wet meadows where there are extensive shallows and emergent vegetation. Black Terns are noisy and fierce defenders of nests and will dive bomb intruders. (Atlas of Breeding Birds of Alberta)
At the Big Lake Interpretive Trail, the nests are often just a few meters away from the trail in a clump of vegetation in the shallow water. I spotted the mate of this one sitting on her nest and he hovered over me while vocalizing his displeasure with my presence. They will also fly right at you at eye level and then rise up about a meter from your head and give a final squawk and sometimes drop a "bomb". They will keep doing this until you move on.

The edge of the circular blade on my new tool for opening fresh coconuts safely.
For Macro Monday March 7 theme "Lost/Found".
LOST
A few weeks ago my husband saw me using a powered garden saw to open a coconut in the sink and thought I would was going to lose some fingers for sure. He insisted I use a safer method.
FOUND
I found this tool called Coco Jack on the internet, and have been eating more fresh coconuts than ever since it arrived.
The Maple Prominent is a moth of the Notodontidae family. It is found throughout Britain and mainland Europe. The wingspan is 35–40 mm. The moths are on wing from May to July depending on the location. The larvae feed on Acer campestris and sometimes Acer pseudoplatanus.
This moth was found at only five locations in Gloucestershire in 2014 - all on the Cotswold Hills. This 20mm final instar caterpillar was bred from an egg laid by an adult Maple Prominent moth at Thrupp, Gloucestershire, in July 2015.
Thanks to everyone who takes the time to view and comment on my photographs – it is greatly appreciated and encouraging!

I can hardly believe that I really found the one of our wild orchids that is the most spectacular one to me. It's a bee orchid (Ophrys apifera), so named because its flowers imitate the appearance of bees or bumblebees. It's quite rare north of the Alps and I'm absolutely in love!
Have a wonderful weekend everybody :-)
This was found nowhere near the coast, although it was a sandy area. A large leaf-cutter growing to around 15mm in length. The first pair of legs of the male are modified into flattened structures and they use these to good effect to bully other insects by bumping them off from flowers (a major pain when trying to photograph the other insects that were around).
Finally i found my first (and i guess last) fly agaric for this year.
