The Bo-Kaap (lit. "above the Cape" in Afrikaans) is an area of Cape Town, South Africa, formerly known as the Malay Quarter.
Bo-Kaap is known for its brightly coloured homes and cobblestoned streets. The area is traditionally a multicultural neighbourhood, and 56.9% of its population identify as Muslim
I was freaked out when a lady came up to me and asked why I was taking a picture of her car... I took a chance and said with a big smile "Well, LOOK AT IT, isn't it obvious?" We then had a fantastic conversation for about the next 15 minutes! She is VERY proud of her 1979 Ford Fiesta (she is the original owner!), and we really bonded over our great love of cute little 1970's and early 1980's cars. We both needed a tissue by the time we got talking about Pintos... I love people, I really do:)

Mind you it did say no parking, so getting that through yer bonnet is a risk!!

Above High Bradfield here in Sheffield, looking out towards the Peak District.
The Deep Lake (Djupvatnet in Norwegian) got the name because it’s sudden drop in depth that reaches 660 feet down. In this light the drop makes beautiful shades clear as ice. The lake is situated in the mountains east of Geiranger.
Not really a roof ornament – it just sounded good. And the bird's too small to see, anyway. Oh well.
