This one was like... Oh. yeah, I know I am supposed to do a self portrait today. It would be easier to just say "Forget about it, skip a day" but as I stood by my car, about to reach in and grab my backpack, I decided to slide out my camera and just try to get something to upload.
While this is not a phenomenal photo, there are aspects of it which I really like.
One of the things I love about this project is the elimination of vanity. I don't have time to be vain when I have committed to upload 365 self portraits.
Even with my current mind in something of a fog and my motivation being at a surreal standstill, I can still do this. And I can still write some words to communicate what I am feeling.
It is like "Oh, yeah, even setting my camera on the back of the backseat, balancing it, and hitting the 10 second timer on it... even this... is being creative. And yes, I can do this and it isn't even half bad."
In fact, right now, its rather exceptional.
Another "a-ha" is that even though it was unmotivated, it is inspiring me now, several hours later... which is a good thing as I didn't necessarily realize inspiration was within my grasp right now.
