Flybe Dash 8 (G-ECOB) departing to the East Midlands on 24 May 2018 - a service dormant since the insolvency of Flybe in March 2020.
The route is to be revived, by Aer Lingus Regional, from 1 October 2020. “Today we’re sharing the news that a new Aer Lingus Regional base will be located at Belfast City Airport. Together with Stobart Air we’re launching six routes, to Edinburgh, Manchester, Birmingham, East Midlands, Leeds Bradford and Exeter. Flights from Belfast to Edinburgh will begin From 27 August, and to Exeter on 28 August. Flights to Manchester and Birmingham will operate from 14 September. And flights to East Midlands and Leeds Bradford begin from 1 October” - Aer Lingus press release on 23 July 2020.
