OE-LEA is a flyNiki Airbus A320 seen at Salzburg Airport on 20th February 2016.
This photo was taken near the end of Otto-von-Lilienthal Straße at the threshold of runway 16 in the early morning.
First flown with the Airbus test registration D-AVZI, this aircraft was delivered to ICBC Financial Leasing and leased to Niki Luftfahrt GmbH ('fly niki') (Austria) as OE-LES in May-08.
'fly niki' was tied up with Air Berlin and after Air Berlin ceased operations in Oct-17 the aircraft was wet-leased to Eurowings on 01-Nov-17. It was returned to 'fly niki' on 13-Dec-17 and they ceased operations the following day.
The aircraft was initially stored at Dusseldorf (Germany) before being ferried to Vienna (Austria) in Jan-18 for further storage. It was due to be leased to LAUDA MOTION but the lease was cancelled. It was repainted all white at Norwich (UK) in Oct-18 and ferried to Shannon (Ireland) for continued storage.
In Jan-19 the aircraft was sold to the Lufthansa Group as D-AEUC and leased to Eurowings in Feb-19. However, it wasn't operated and remained stored at Shannon. It was ferried to Dusseldorf in May-19. I'm unsure if it ever entered service with Eurowings and it was ferried to Kaunas (Lithuania), still in all white livery, in Feb-20.
It was stored at Kunas for 12 months and ferried to Cologne in Feb-21 for more storage. The aircraft was transferred to Lufthansa Technik in Jun-21 and ferried to Singapore-Seletar for 'P2F freighter conversion.
It was converted to 'P2F' configuration with a main deck cargo door in Jan-22 and leased to Lufthansa CltyLine later that month. It was repainted in full Lufthansa Cargo livery and transferred to Lufthansa Cargo in Mar-22, operated by Lufthansa CityLine. Current, updated 23-Mar-22.
