Happy egg shooting day to those who celebrate it. I don't have egg shot but...HBM! :)

What is the difference between "I like you" and "I love you"?

Buddha replies: when you like a flower, you take it. When you love a flower you water it all day.

Whoever understands this understands life.

Calla Lilies are always interesting flowers to photograph. They are dramatic and have interesting folds that catch the light.

Escapism it certainly can be. But that is not all. It does not necessarily mean to look the other way. Celebrating beauty and life, and the preservation of both, can also be an act of resistance, of not giving in to the rationality of industrialised death. Not shouting "hurrah", but taking care of life can be an expression of one's alternative approach. Beauty can be subversive, just like the dream of paradise can. Just think when you make your camera see beauty. Leica M Mono, Leitz Elmar 4/135 at F 5.6.

Flowers of Bergenia cordifolia. Bergenias are commonly known as pigsqueak (due to the noise made when two leaves are rubbed together), elephant's ears (from the leaf shape) or large rockfoil. See en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bergenia
