This locust was seated right on a flower with five petals. It has gobbled one petal and was preparing itself to gobble others as well!
I finally got a shot of one of the hummingbirds that have been hanging around of late. It isn't as good as I'd like, since the whole bird is not in sharp focus, but at least the eye is! I'll have to fine-tune my technique, and hopefully have some better shots to post soon. I think this is a female ruby-throated hummingbird. Can any of you birders out there confirm?
