Macro Mondays: Bathroom

Kid's flossers for Macro Mondays, ''Single use''

Well I am happy today. The sun is shining any my 4 year old cherry tree is looking utterly gorgeous, with lots of honey bees enjoying their first outing in warm weather.

I am actually spending the day baking for a friend's party tomorrow but could not resist sneaking out to stand under my favourite tree.

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend :)

Black and white re-edit of a previously published colour shot captured in October 2017. Wishing you all a fantastic weekend of photography - stay safe and keep those shutters clicking!

A photo taken earlier this morning of Ageratum houstonianum, commonly called floss flowers. To get a little closer to these tiny little button-like flowers, I used my prime 50mm lens with a 13mm extension tube.

Palo borracho is a species of deciduous tree native to the tropical and subtropical forests of South America. The fruits are lignous ovoid capsules, 20 centimetres (8 in) long, which contain bean-sized black seeds surrounded by a mass of fibrous, fluffy matter reminiscent of cotton or silk.

‘Geologically, the Rudolph-Wilde-Park garden monument is located in a branch of the glacial channel of the Grunewald chain of lakes. The area was part of a marshy fen that formed at the end of the last ice age and originally flowed from Nollendorfplatz along the Teltow ridge to Lietzensee. An information board on site explains: ‘Wikipedia

HMM-- the theme for today, 8/17 is push/pull. found this theme particularly tricky since several of mine were trying to show the push or pull action, which is not easy when simultaneously trying to push the buttons on an iphone ~grin~, so i opted for no action. this may be the best macro of the four and it surprised me to discover that floss was more ribbon-y than thread-y.

"macro mondays" pushpull possibility

oder doch nur flugfaul?

This squirrel appeared to be flossing his teeth ;-)

The gardening girls are out enjoying the daffodils and also studying an unusual pot at Turton Tower. The holes in the side are a complete mystery.
