There are two festival in Islam. One is Eid Ul Fiter and other one is Eid Ul Adha. After one month of fasting Muslims are allowed to enjoy Eid Ul Fiter. Around two months later they slaughter animals by the name of Allah. That is Eid Ul Adha. Although In both Eid it is meant to be joy of giving. However it also open the door to all sorts of traders.
After couple of days later of Eid Ul Adha I visited a place where raw-lather of slaughtered animals were stored. It was not easy to work in a sloppy place like that. On the other hand they had no protective gear even during the world wide COVID 19 pandemic situation. This guy in the picture was resting for a while after working long time.

I bought the Olympus 60mm Macro Lens to get into macro and product photography. The two months that I've owned it, I've been only using it for portraits and street work...
Aside from street photography, I also curate a gallery called Digital Dog Park where I try to create a digital space for K9 lovers to mingle in the comments and meet other like minded photographers on Flickr.

Long exposure light design in the air at night with the help of 24 among candles & lanterns, my two hands & arms and my Canon EOS 250D. No editing nor post-production (except my #WhiteANGEL watermark made with another long exposure shot of light painting).
I painted these wings in a wide portion of my garden, so, they are very large :-) With many light painting sessions I became more skilled in painting in the air at night, till reaching discrete results of shapes and even lettering. My monogram logo was obtained writing with fire, in fact. But I like this early attempt because I can see the raw spontaneous strokes and just in the digital processing I happened to realize they looked like wings.

I would like to dedicate my photo to my neighbour Romeo. This wild prunus plant is placed in his ground, a non cultivated field, at one step distance from my garden. Recently he had gifted me his tree, giving me permission to take care of it during the seasons, included the pruning of the branches. Romeo left us prematurely last January 25 2024 for a sudden heart stroke. He was only 54, a generous guy. This tree bears now his name, Romeo, and, in the moment I'm writing this memory, it's bountifully blossoming white little flowers.

Happy #NationalWildlifeDay! Celebrated on September 4th, National Wildlife Day is about we can do to protect endangered species and their habitats. This bear encounter in @sequoiakingsnps was one of the best wildlife encounters I’ve ever had and perfectly exemplifies how habitats and species are intertwined. The bear might not be overtly threatened but Sequoias and their environments are under constant threats from wildfires and global warming. We have to protect one to save the other. Getting to see this bear was a sublime experience; he paid no attention to us and was content to hunt for roots and berries in the middle of the meadow, about 100 yards from the trail. This gave me ample time and security to set up my tripod and document his work as the sun began to set lighting up the trees around us. It was a perfect moment. Swipe through the gallery to see the sunset, too. A bear and a sunset amongst Sequoias! Time stood still. It was a wonderful moment that’ll be with me for a long time.

The dynamic diversity found in Everglades National Park is driven by the the sheer dynamism of the weather found in this environment- tropical and rainy, the Everglades can often be gloomy, grey, and wet. On the day that I took this picture, a blanket of clouds covered the entire park and boxed in the scenery. But then, as the sun began to sink towards the horizon and break through the clouds, a magic show began.

I had the privilege of visiting a rural Health Centre in Uganda, with access to the Maternity Unit.
This photograph was taken with the mother's permission, just hours after she had given birth to her child by caesarean section. I loved the engagement between mother and child. It was particularly poignant as it was my son's birthday too (having been born 41 years previous).
The opportunity to visit the village and spend time with so many of the villagers, and our own sponsored daughter of 17 years, was a life changing experience.

A true kiss with closed eyes between my cockatiels Punky and Lidl (see previous poster and description).
This is one of the most special moments of Love, empathy and tenderness among two of my cockatiels that I had the privilege to frame and now can share further on.
This is the photo I chose as epitomic among all those I took during the special meeting when my two cockatiel girls have exchanged many cuddles, caresses and kisses.

Taken around the end of November 2021 when Punky was 8 months (a girl) and Lidl (the most yellow one on upper position) was only 44days old. For sure Punky felt that Lidl was a puppy, a smaller creature than her and was full of cares and attentions, completely reciprocated by Lidl.
