Took this picture at Vermillion Lake in Banff National Park and this was the only day we had some sunshine. Didn't make too many pictures because of that, but had a wonderful time. The weather was quite mild and Lake Louise was the only place with quite a bit of snow for the rest there was only little bit of snow.

Sooo… Trying to make a slight return here on the
Flickr Playground. Now that COVID-19 has turned 21,
I hope that all of my friends are well and keeping
safe. I’ve been swampserfing in Florida. Only
speaking to Alligators and Gopher Tortoises.

Yep, so we were having a devastating Nor'easter here in St Augustine, FL, USA when Hurricane Irma came along added the final devastating blows to our little town.
Most of the Caribbean and all of Florida received incredible wind and water damage.
Just able to go out and survey the damage at this writing. But, I know it's very bad. My favorite beach, Vilano Beach, once again has lost homes, dunes and has flooded neighborhoods. TrailerDog and myself have fared very well at our home. No damages to our buildings. Lots of broken tree limbs, trash and days of cleanup, though.
Blessed to be safe with electricity, wifi and water. Most of my neighbors, townsfolk and businesses have been devastated. Pray for them and donate to the charities that are supporting us, please.

TrailerDog was having a good night crossing a newly formed
canal. Hurricane Dorian removed the sand dunes and formed
an auxiliary channel parallel to the harbor inlet. It’s
dangerously close to the back doors of the homes along
here, though...

I met this creature in a back water park pavilion. After I
took this photo, this cat jumped to attack me. Fortunately
he was attached to a post with a bejeweled collar and
a leash !!! His owner, who was sitting there eating, had warned
me. He said this creature has always been a “Guard” Cat.
The owner and his wife were just traveling through the South
with their Guard Cat and a sweet puppy dog. The owner pointed
towards a white Chevy Van pulling up. It was tinted green
from swamp algae which covers everything eventually.
It was his wife with their other dog. They were getting ready to
spend the night there. Then I realized that this was their
home and their life. Spending the night on the Tolomato
River in Florida. They were happy with it. So was I.
Yes, they were living in van, down by the river.
