MARS_89 [30 points]
A space invader in the colors of the provencal newspaper La Provence. The head quarters of this newspaper is located right accross this space invader.
Till August 2020 I found and flashed all 13 space invaders of wave 1 (MARS_01 - MARS_11 - 2004 and wave 2 (MARS_12 and MARS_13). But during wave 3 in August 2020 the number of space invaders went up to 97. In total 84 space invaders on my list again.

This space invader is dedicated to the fact that in 1999 Invader and street artist ZEVS worked under the name @nonymous and made a film about their secret urban adventures. To celebrate the fact that this is 20 years ago a re-edition of that film was shown on December 7th in Cinema La Clef, haut-lieu de résistance culturele in the Rue Daubenton. This is number 3857 in the world.

One of the largest projects of 2006 of Invader in Paris will certainly be this one on the Boulevard de la Villette near métro station Belleville and the Place du Général Ingold in the 19th arrondissement . More than 80 (83 to be exact) space invaders on a row!
Estimated format: 18,5 meters wide, 16 centimeters high. Totally about 7300 mosaïque tiles used for this one. In June 2022 finally a shot without people!

A very high above the ground (8th floor!) double black and white space invader. Another space invader worth 100 points in the same street installed in 2016 (the other one is PA_1205, "house is in da house").
Visited on the perfect moment of the day, the early morning.
This huge project was number 3378 in the world made by Invader. The light is on green for more great space invaders in the world!

A space invader in a Mediterranean atmosphere in the tiny sea harbour of Vallon des Auffes. A harbor only used for pleasure boats. It's hard to get close to this sea reflecting space invader but it is easy flashable for FlashInvaders.

A girl on the balcony in the Marais with a space invader. A new to the world style space invader Invader is making recently for cities like Hong Kong, Tokyo and now also in hometown Paris. This girl appeared on Instagram on Invader's page "Invader was here" with the text; Find the girl. Well, I did!
As we speak (December 2014) Invader has invaded 61 cities in the world with a total of 3050 space invader pieces. In Paris the counter is on 1127, this is the most recent now.

The original of this yellow space invader in the 16ème arrondissement was deleted in the year 2008 but came back re-activated in July 2016. Great work of the re-activator of this work. The reason for the re-activations is not only the game FlashInvaders but also the will of the fans to bring back the space invaders in the street from the perspective of cultural heritage.

The sea resort town of La Ciotat has been invaded as well. As we speak (January 2016) a total of 9 invaders installed during 4 waves. This one with FlashInvader colors was installed in the Summer of 2014. Just for the record, it was my personal 350th space invader flashed with the application FlashInvaders.
We didn't have the time to hunt for some other space invaders in La Ciotat. We know there are a few more including a good re-activated one.

I had to take the bus for it, had to walk a long way and eventually it turned out that the site was closed due to a major renovation. And it was too far for the FlashInvaders application to recognize it. And the space invader was already badly damaged. The 30 points were not awarded to me.
MARS_74 sits on the wall of the Musée d'art contemporain de la Ville de Marseille (mac), closed at the moment.

The oldest space invader made by Invader on the world at the moment. The invasion in Paris started in 1996 with number one and the real invasion started in 1998. PA_001 till PA_004 have been deleted (although PA_001 is still there but covered with stucco work). After this one there are more than 1080 appeared in Paris alone and another more than 1000 worldwide. Time for a revisit and flashback. This photo is taken almost 16 years after invasion and the invader is still in good shape!

Finally I have a better close-up of PA_584 in the only street in Paris named after my hometown in the Netherlands. This Pac Man was the last invader I flashed during my 3 day stay in Paris in the Summer of 2020 after the lockdown. The score is that I flashed in total 40 space invaders (new, re-activated and never revisited older invaders) worth in total 1070 points and I went up in rank from 505 to 454.
My total score is now 38,740 points, 1,336 invaders of which 1,138 out of 1,446 in Paris. On 20/07/2020 there were more than 136,670 FlashInvaders players.

Because of the addictive online game 'FlashInvaders' I feel myself urged to revisit a lot of Paris space invaders. Also this one on a not so beautiful location hidden behind Gare Saint-Lazare in the 8ème arrondissement. This Pac Man space invader is almost 10 years active and still in good shape. Invader did a lot of Pac Mans around 2005 and this one is one of the examples which is still visible and "flashable".

A camera roll (peolloche) featuring the one and only space invader circling around the planet Earth in the short movie by Invader Art4Space.
I met Manon and Bastian from the area Aix-en-Provence again this afternoon. We flashed CLR_01 together 2 hours before and met again. They came back for a full sunlight photo of this one near the station of Clermont-Ferrand.

THE INVASION OF CLERMONT-FERRAND
The first (two?) invasion wave(s) of the center of Clermont-Ferrand occured in the year 2000 and consisted 8 space invaders, 4 of them are still there (including 1 re-activation) and flashable.
In January 2016 Clermont-Ferrand was invaded again, the 3rd invasion wave took place:
"At the occasion of the screening of the very last version of the movie Art4Sspace at the Interntional Short Film Festival of Clermont-Ferrand, I have added 31 new creations to the city of the center of France. Among various themes, they refer to movies and cinema but also to what Clermont Ferrand is famous for : its gothic cathedrale, its volcanos, its Michelin factories and its Serge Gainsbourg street" (Invader)
