Holy sassy work outfit, Batman.

This photo is packed with memories. Trying to dress corporate life ready in my 20's, feeling so unsure of myself. Having just ended a multi-year relationship with someone I lived with. Unsure of what the future would hold.

I wish the quality of this was better but I was drastically back lit from those big beautiful windows.

I know I'm supposed to look back on photos from 10+ years ago and feel like they're cringey. I know that's what everyone does. The thing is, I know that woman. I was her. She was trying new things. Stretching her wings. If I told her that she'd be fat and cute and wearing short shorts and crop tops in her 40's she wouldn't have ever believed me. (Although I think the time travel would have helped a bit, maybe.) I love seeing how far I've come as a person and sometimes that means in my style and sometimes that means in my confidence or values.
