A beautiful backlit brimstone.

My elbows were resting on thistles when I took this, I didn't notice until after I'd taken the shot!

It's the first day of a new month already!

A late afternoon landscape photograph taken near the Usk Reservoir in the Brecon Beacons National Park, Wales.

These shots are from back in January, but it was only recently that I put these two together.

Both shots are beautiful separate, but there's something magical about them together.

First walk of the year, poor timing, got more than a little damp.

Shot from my office window at exactly 7:00PM on April 1st. Also one of the very first shots taken with my new Zeiss 50mm f/1.4 ZF.2 lens.

Yes. I've decided to do a 365 project.

I know that a lot of people do the self portrat thing but I've decided to leave mine open-ended (I can do whatever the hell I want it's my project). I figure I'll just do themes for each month. They'll probably be a lot of self-portraits but I don't want to limit it.

I wanted to take a shot of Boise for my first one because it's the first of the year and my first shot of the project. I wanted to show where most of my shots will take place. My girlfriend made a very cool suggestion and said I should do this at the first of every month to see how Boise changes throughout the year and I like that. So, every first of the month I'm going back to this spot to take a shot of Boise.

Hope everyone likes my project.

and we played a game that you didn't like.

Mark it. That's one more month to add to the 365 project. I know I'm a little behind on posting but I'm not on my shots I have all of them done they're just not uploaded yet. Here's my first of the month shot for March. It sure looks like it's getting nice in this shot but as I'm typing this there's snow on the ground outside. Hopefully that'll be gone soon.

My 365 project is going good but it sure is hard sometimes to force myself to take uncreative shots. Somedays I just want to get it done and the shots are not as well thought out as I would have liked but o well. You can't win them all.

Here's another month to the project.

O ya, and if you missed my January and February they're here:

For the 1st of the Month Gas Prices group. Pocono Mountains, PA. This is one of the higher prices in our area. If you try, you can find gas as low as $3.11 per gallon.

I can't say that I love this song, but the lyrics kind of kick ass.

Here's what I paid today for gas. I stopped the pump at $30. Couldn't bear to spend more after paying over $80 for a hand basket of food at the supermarket!

Day one hundred six/365. For those of us participating in posting our local gas prices on the first of the month. This is the highest in our immediate area . . .I'm paying $3.15 at a different pump. There's not much difference, right now, between the low and the high. It's all just high!

I live in NE Pennsylvania.

October 1st ink drawing for Inktober! White rabbits : )

Just when you thought gas prices were confusing enough . . .

This station is known for its moderate price, and is located in Swiftwater, PA.

Heres's the gas price I actually paid today.

Here's the price I actually paid today, August 1, 2008, in Tannersville, PA.

Here's the highest price I saw in our area today.

sometimes it's difficult to tell. I have a bit of a glower here but not my scary look. I save that one for work. Once again I didn't pay attention to the background. I did try to clone it out but lost interest after five minutes of messing about. I need to buy a portable screen.

I put $40 in my tank and the needle only hit 3/4!! (Ok, so I took this photo yesterday . . . ) P1280474

Here's the closest gas station to our home; though it's located at a five-point intersection, it's only a little above the average price in this area. Many are charging well over $4.00 per gallon for 87 octane.

Done with gig and there was no photo shoot this was also a trial run to a full body painting session that I plan on doing later in the year with a bunch of people.

I was just about to start to paint.

I loved the movie and want to do all the different tribes of the Na'vi people.

Anybody else say rabbit on the first of the month? Where the heck did that originate from? The strange things we humans do.

I still had to pop in the eyes, teeth, hair and get dressed.
