Five Scents, not Five Cents, were recently given to me in small amounts. I decided that the only way to begin my relationship with them was to talk to the sealed scents with Tarot. The deck chosen for this operation includes magical keys from Zodiacal, Enochian, Ceremonial, Goetic, Tattvic, and Elemental components on the cards. The display upon each card is an opening to great amount of magical potential that is simply superb, or astoundingly amazing as the different magical schools each enlighten the other.

by Lon Milo DuQuette is available as a deck of cards and book often sold separately. The deck has been reprinted and sold out and reprinted again and is available from United States of America suppliers. The deck and book contain enough magical wonders from great sources all presented with contemporary wisdom and brilliant original illustrations.
The fur is fake, the scents are real, the magick is ethereal and the tarot deck is an amazing deal. The circular light was fashioned just for these pictures. The materials used for the circular snoot were taken from the recycling and will be returned to recycling to keep our journey with our planet as environmentally friendly as possible. All settings were manual as the strobe provided a constant light. Taking and editing these pictures was daunting, dazzling and rewarding. The avenues of magical observation indicated by the cards and the many keys delivered in them remain as a record for all future encounters with each scent.

Conditions were a little challenging for photography with mist and drops of rain.
After having my memory jarred in reading some of the scripts for this amazing series I always placed in the same bracket at 'Last of the Summer Wine' having completely forgotten I had this first edition.
Reading it one is transformed back into the set adventure. Wonderful.

All books need a good brushing, but you have to find old, soft, natural brushes to do it.

Mario died when he was 34 years old. I set out to paint 34 minutes a day for 34 days. I became concerned around day 15 or so. As the deadline encroached so did this sense of urgency to arrive at an image that would satiffy Mario's family. I felt the meta cognitive symviosis of art making folding to this hindrance of a deadline. My wrestling with the image resembled a dampened version of the Kubler-Ross Stages of Grief: denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. Initially I denied the time limitation. My discontent resembled anger. I bargained in that I entertained shortcuts and compromise. I wrestled with a muted melancholy that attempted to suffocate vigor, and this simulated depression yielded to a bolder acceptance- that this image, while appearing unfinished, expresses a life cut short but profoundly fulfilled. My journey through these stages was humbly swarfed in contrast to the dark night the Cheryl, Hakeem, and the rest of Mario's family endure as they process their loss. This experience woke me to the spirit of a man loved by many, thatt I've only met by way of painting his portrait.

Every First Folio's story is unique, and over the course of four centuries, many copies have changed hands and traveled the globe. Nearly all existing copies are owned by institutions; only about 20 are in private hands. The Folger Library has 82, by far the largest single collection of Folios in the world.

Rendia' is an upright, well-branched selection of panicle hydrangea that features cone-shaped inflorescences of white, sterile flowers that mature to wine red. According to the marketing tag, it starts color transformation earlier than most panicles.
2020 note: Bought from Lowes at full price of $25: 2 gal pot, First Editions. I selected a plant with a single trunk so I can train as a small tree like plant. First Editions claims it has dark orange foliage in the fall.

Many of Shakespeare's First Folios -- the original source for half of his plays -- were on exhibit at the Folger Shakespeare Library in June, 2011. It was a bibliophile's dream. The Folger Library in Washington, DC has the largest collection of First Folios in the world.
These books were a gift to me from my mother. Shortly after I was born she went back to work as a nurse and she cared for Mrs. Julia Sauer. She became very close to her and when she passed away her niece gave these books to my mother.
I have always been a reader and as a child I remember reading these books over and over but it was always a special thing because these books were tucked away.
Recently my mother moved and in the process decided to give these to me. I will cherish them always.
The book on top by Virginia Woolf was not written by Mrs. Sauer but it was edited by her and has her notes written throughout.
The other three are also first editions and autographed by Mrs. Sauer.
