Commander, there are no more humans left on this planet. But we found this object containing a long video and some files. There are organic traces everywhere on it and in the Pink Room.

"Through the darkness of future past,

The magician longs to see

One chants out between two worlds:

Fire, walk with me."

-David Lynch.. from Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me (1992)

It was a dark night. One of the darkest. Kithaba had been looking for shelter for a long time. The journey was long and rocky and the nights were very cool, so the only source of heat is the torch in his hand.

And all of this was before he was dragged into the Sarlacc's mouth.

This is again all in-camera. I have often mentioned this very same thing, but I'm pretty sure that people who are viewing my pictures here, may not realize the amount of work for the each image. I say this out loud, because after watching prequels came a feeling that I have been fooled: unfortunately they forgot to mention computer as their leading actor. All i can say is that there is no painting here and nothing artificial.

Sometimes Polaroids take pictures that are very different to the ones you intend to take. Sometimes they even take pictures of things that aren't there – or at least, things that are not visible to the naked eye. Perhaps they have another, deeper kind of vision. They certainly have their own personalities.

I swear, sometimes my SX70 thinks it is David Lynch....

Finally! Some images from the second round, if you will, of my CPP collaboration with -fiona-. For my exposures on this roll, I again covered lenses 2 & 3 as an experiment, but the Supersampler I'm using is growing annoyed with my whimsy and apparent abuse, and is subsequently misfiring and, well, misbehaving at times. Fortunately, Fi's shots are just gorgeous, and the Provia film (her good taste -- she started the roll) lends some exquisite color to the posts.

Cheers, Fi, and thank you for stopping by! I consider this batch of three uploads to be my first real stuff of the New Year (trying circumstances in my life a-g-a-i-n -- shockerama!). In any case, I wish you a healthy & very, very happy 09!

Prost! ^_^

"Diane, 11:30 AM, February 24th. Entering the town of Twin Peaks, five miles south of the Canadian border, twelve miles west of the state line. I’ve never seen so many trees in my life. As W. C. Fields would say, I’d rather be here than Philadelphia. Fifty-four degrees on a slightly overcast day. Weatherman said rain."

Here's my Twin Peaks tribute - a sendoff to the greatest soap opera ever made and the hit cult classic. A mix of different scales & building styles, really fun to build once the idea was worked out. Completed in April 2022. I got the idea to finally do a Twin Peaks MOC when my sister gifted me The Secret History of Twin Peaks by Mark Frost. Great read!

From top to bottom and left to right, the scenes/characters represented are: The Great Northern Hotel run by Benjamin Horne, the entrance to Owl Cave, entrance to the Black Lodge, the Black Lodge / Red Room, The Arm (The Return), the Falls, Black Coffee, Cherry Pie, Laura Palmer (Dead, Wrapped in LEGO bag Plastic), a Donut, and of course the Fish in the Percolator.

Initially I wanted to do the Black Lodge / Red Room - but @dylanlaneart already did a great version - check out his vignette for that. I did copy the floor though 😉

Fortunate enough to have visited many Twin Peaks locations when I was in Washington State in 2019 including the Twin Peaks High School (now destroyed), the Double R, the Roadhouse, the Falls, the Great Northern (Salish Spa), & the Police Station (now DirtFish Stunt Rally School).

20 years ago the classic, mysterious, eerie, emotionally provocative serial drama Twin Peaks, thanks to the genius of David Lynch, became a part of the worldwide popular culture.

We were flying along on a H20 bomber very much like this one, and we are coming south with ....and we are just about the same altitude .... about 5000 feet above the ground with something .... in the back of the airplane reported before, then we had bright light coming down toward the aircraft behind us
