99 dreams I have had

In every one a red balloon

It's all over and I'm standin' pretty In the dust that was a city

If I could find a souvenir

Just to prove the world was here...

And here it is, a red balloon

I think of you and let it go.

For the children, everywhere.

The weather here in Colorado has been so gorgeous (knock on wood) especially for the time of year it is.

I'm finally getting a groove in for myself so I can commit myself to shooting at least once of week while being in school and other life things happening. And if the weather keeps staying this beautiful, I am going to taking every chance I can get to spend time outside and do something I love.

In other exciting news, I have my print giveaways for reaching my 1,000 follower/fan goal on my Facebook and here on my Flickr.

I shot this a few years ago but was never able to decide on a final edit after post processing that I was truly happy with. After looking back on the raw files, I thought I would take a look at it again using the new editing skills/routine I have developed since.

My pup destroyed a bunch of faux butterfly props I had... I knew that I could put good use to them. Been awhile since I've done a diffused light, indoor shot.

Happy creating! xx

The Taste of Dystopia: A dark reflection of a future where indulgence meets decay.

big thank you to my amazing friend Stephanie who begrudgingly allowed me to rub dirt all over her in the middle of a forest!

inspired by the old english folktale of The Black Lady of Bradley Woods. Whom is a ghost that reportedly haunts the woods near the village of Bradley, Lincolnshire, England.

Alleged eyewitnesses have described her as being young and pretty, around 5'6" tall, dressed in a flowing black cloak and a black hood that obscures her hair but reveals her mournful, pale, tear-soaked face. According to the legend she has never harmed anyone and has only ever proved to be a pitiful, if unnerving sight.

I was really excited to create this image because of the love I have for the sea and how badly I want to create more sea themed images. It's not always easy to do in landlocked Colorado but when I can create it, I am all over it.

I also wrote a 'creating of' blog post for this image to go along with it. I asked recently on my different social media platforms for feedback on different things people were interested in me discussing. If there is any thing else you would like me to include still in future 'creating of' posts, please always feel free to drop a comment on any of the platforms! (-:

loosely inspired by the old fable of The Will o'the Wisp, a name given to mysterious lights that were said to lead travellers from the path into marshes and darkness.

OK, it’s kill time!💥🔫

I have always said i'd never do self portraiture, and yet here I am! My model was busy all week and I just had to get this idea down before I lost inspiration... so an impromptu shoot with a helping hand and a cheap tripod had to do!

This image came from the idea that some people live their life in goodness trying to make their way into heaven, or the after life. And so I wanted to portray this desperate need to get there, with a hand-made sheet, as if she is pulling herself up there.

this has been previously posted and re-edited with more light.

Title of the Piece:

"The Last Train Never Stops"

Artist Statement:

I created this piece to explore the intersection between longing and delay. “The Last Train Never Stops” is a visual allegory—this isn’t a train you can board; it’s a train you remember, or one you missed. The fog represents uncertainty, or maybe even regret. The absence of people isn’t accidental—this is a memory space, where what’s important is what isn’t seen. Time halts in this station. The light is overwhelming not because it welcomes, but because it obscures. I want viewers to question: was this a place they’ve been, or a feeling they’ve buried? Everyone has their own ‘last train,’ and mine just keeps arriving without opening its doors.

Artist Statement:

In this piece, I wanted to explore the paradox of spectacle and labor the way systems of consumption are both hidden and glorified. The suited man represents corporate detachment, standing in awe of a window display that mimics struggle without acknowledging it. The sculptural figure, forever laboring, becomes an object of display, divorced from personhood. Meanwhile, the mannequins remind us that both observer and observed are products of the same system some active, some discarded. Is this a celebration or a warning? That discomfort is the point.
