Have a sun splashed weekend everyone :)
Sorry for the delayed thanks, but I am having a horrible time with 'unable to post comment' and a few "unable to fave at this time" over the last several days. Anyone else?
In any case thank you from the bottom of my heart for your visits, kind comments and faves -

Out of sorts, and feeling a little put out by being ripped on a shot I posted to flickr some days ago, I had to head back to this place. It took me awhile to get over all the feelings I had about this experience, and the experience we call flickr. It can be really great, I feel I have made real friends here. For that I am extremely grateful.
It has been nice to have so many people look at my work with positive responds and that feeling is beyond words.
Sometimes I lack patience, I get frustrated, feeling like when am I gonna be able to sell something, you know.....
make the big time.
Then I look around this community, and all the obsticales that so many people have overcome, just to be able to create, and I take a deep breath, take a walk in the woods,
and feel better.
Sorry my flickr friends, I am too far behind on comments to catch up completely, but will try my best.
This time of year usually has me running, running, running.
and not the places I love, instead to the hustle and bustle which I don't.

This is the sixth photograph in my series Finding Peace, which is a series about integrity and the importance of finding your own place in this world. See the whole series here.
This is also the photograph that I will exhibit on the Stockholm Photo Fair which will take place next week!
I´m so happy for your comments on my work. THANK YOU!
This is a new photograph for my series Finding Peace. This series is very important to me, because I reflect upon integrity and our ability to find peace in this world.
I created this picture during the project Roots of imagination that I did together with Victoria Söderström. I wrote a blog post about the creation of this photograph.
I hope you´re all fine! I really miss flickr at times when I´m too busy with life, but I will take some time soon to look through all the awesome pictures and comment!

This is the fourth picture in my series Finding peace. See the whole series here and read a description.
The whole series is about the importance of integrity, wich I choose to illustrate with a big bubble. I´m using the bubble as a symbol because I want to visualise our inner struggle, the struggle we all have with putting up borders, but also letting other people in, close to our heart. Our inner worlds can be hard to talk about, and sometimes hard to understand. That´s why I´m trying to put it into my art, to take something that feels diffuse and create an image that maybe makes it a little bit clearer.
This picture shows someone out in the world. He´s sitting alone on a field, but still feeling safe. He´s looking out into the distance, not knowing what there is or what will come. But he has an inner strength. Also, I wanted to make this image darker than the other ones. The world is never good or bad, never just beautiful or ugly, never truly safe. I believe we can come a long way if we find a safe place within, a place where we´ll believe in ourselves.
This is a very important picture to me. I´ve been planning it since fall last year, and I´ve been struggling to be true to my vision, not compromising any part of it. This picture is about finding peace in a chaotic world- isolation as a condition for being left alone. To find sanctuary in a troubled world.
The inspiration for this photo came from listening to this song by swedish singer Miss Li. The first words in the song are:
There is a room where no one can hurt us.
There is a room where no one can get us.
This song made a huge impact on me the first time I heard it, and I got this picture in my head immediately. It´s an amazing feeling to be so touched by a piece of art! It doesn´t happen very often to me, and that´s why I´m so happy that I got the chance to create a work of my own out of this inspiration.
You can read more about my inspiration for this photo on my blog.

This is a new photograph for my series Finding Peace. The series is about the importance of integrity. I use a big bubble to illustrate our ability to protect ourselves from a sometimes chaotic world. To me, this is an important project, and I will create many pictures that will belong to this series. In my future work, I look forward to examining how I can create a picture without using the bubble, but still relate to the theme. I like to use symbols in my art, but I also need to give myself the challenge to create without the bubble as a symbol (though I love it!)
Someday we all sit by the shore, speaking only to the waves that knew us young. And here, a lifetime finds its peace.
I took this photo during a quiet walk on the beach at home. It just reminded me of our own golden days that are passing, and where they will eventually lead us. Someday, that will be us.
This is the first image of a new serie that I´m working on. To myself, I call it "the Bubble-project" :)
I´ve thought about the symbolism of this bubble for almost three years now. I think about the importance of finding peace in your own body, and being able to protect yourself from a sometimes chaotic world. How do you take care of yourself? Do you have enough space to breathe? Do you know where to draw the line? If someone goes too far, are you able to say No, or are you too afraid to let other people down? Do you feel comfort in your own bubble?
I want to feel safe. I want to see the world through my own glass, knowing that everyone can see my face, but no one can ever get too close.
My inspiration when editing this photograph was Terra Kate. I love her use of cold tones and soft light.

SURRENDER BRINGS PEACE
sri sri ravi shankar says.." the moment there is surrender, there is PEACE, that very second there is peace.
Surrender can be a positive course of action. In today’s challenging economic conditions, competitive marketplace and macho culture, people are taught and expected to never give up, never give in. Yet we don’t hear or read much about surrendering. Giving up is surrendering. But surrendering is not necessarily giving up.
Surrender is sensible.
Surrender is an admission of limitations
Surrender to unavoidable.
Surrender is hard work.
This is the topic I´m constantly coming back to in my art: the strive to find peace, solace, comfort in this world. Searching for solace or trying to find peace without withdrawing too much from this world and isolating yourself.

This special day is reserved for the memory of the
brave men and women that sacrificed their lives for
the greater good of others. Freedom can be costly.
A sincere "thank you" seems hardly adequate.
I am always saddened to think about the inconceivable
loss of life when waging a war (any war) for peace. It
seems as if humankind cannot learn from its greatest
tragedies, of which, there are many.
Rest in Peace all, and know that you are remembered
with fondness and respect. A country is truly grateful.

Every day you wake up, and step on the scale. And most of us let that number define us. It can so easily set the tone for the day. This print is aimed at inspiring you to remember that YOU are SO much MORE than then number on the scale. It does not define you. It is not WHO you are. It's just a number. You are NOT the number on the scale!

How often do we let the size of our dress influence how we feel about ourselves? Every day we look in the closet and think the size on the tag somehow is a reflection of WHO we are. Girl - I'm here to tell you that you are SO much more! The key to ending the weight loss and body image struggles that so many women have begins with changing the thoughts that fill up our own minds. We all spend so much time wishing for that thinner version of ourself to reappear. But here is what I have learned - it's not the thinner version that gives us what we want. What we want is to FEEL the way we think being thinner will feel. We want to be energized. We want to feel strong, lean, and alive. We want to feel beautiful. And we want to feel free - free from the struggle of weight loss and body image negativity.

Just before he took a nap.... I took this from grandma's place in Korea. He's with grandma, aunts and his cousins. I'll be heading back end of this month to pick them up.
We decided a month is enough .... we're not letting him stay there for whole year.
All taken with window lights coming in by balcony.
One night i had a dream where I
Sat high upon a distant hill
All alone and far from home
the wind was calm and still...
As i looked up to the sky
beams of light came down
and for awhile, Natures smile
danced for me, all around..
I felt a need to talk to God
And ask Him where to find
My way in life - so full of strife
Weighing heavy on my mind..
Then Suddenly within the light
breaking through the sky above
I could hear a silent voice
that seemed so full of love.
Saying
"be paitent child, i hear the prayers
that come from everywhere
I'm close at hand, please understand
For this world I truly care"
then a dark cloud came & i felt rain
like tears upon my face...
and the voice became much louder as
it said " this world's in need of Grace"..
I asked the silent voice to tell me why
Oh why he did not sow
grace within a world of souls
Planted faithfully to grow..
The voice became a whisper as
loud thunder roared above..
"Man is born with a free will
And faith is taught through love..
Grace is not something that
can be born in everyone..
for if I could i surely would
but that's not how it's done"..
as the rain clouds moved away
letting the light back through
i heard a final whisper say
"I've seen Grace in You"...
Since i Awoke from that dream
I've felt a peace within my mind
and each day i take time to pray
it will spread throughout mankind..
one by one, two by two
together we can be
a world that's full of peaceful souls
spreading Grace abundantly...
