7/30 for my photo-a-day in June project
It took an hour and a quarter to do the Welsh homework this week. It was an exercise in formal Welsh in which we had to put sentences into the passive. Not something that I'll ever use in conversation, but it's useful to be able to understand the formal forms when you see them in books.
Gumbo file powder is a necessity for cooking authentic Cajun cuisine. Quite simply, gumbo file powder is the powdered leaves of the sassafras tree. When ground, they smell somewhat like eucalyptus or juicy fruit gum.
Long before the use of file powder for Creole and Cajun cooking, American Indians pounded sassafras leaves into a powder and added them to soups and stews. In addition to contributing an unusual flavor, the powder also acts as a thickener when added to liquid.

Westelijk van de weg (rechts) Buitenborgh, villapark met recreatiewoningen en de Vinkenveensche Plassen, daarom ligt het nieuwe weggedeelte oostelijk. Het weggedeelte tussen het knooppunt Holendrecht en Maarssen is een van de knelpunten die versneld wordt aangepakt om de economische schade ten gevolge van de files te bepreken. De versnelde aanpak is het mogelijk dankzij een speciale Spoedwet
