Figure de proue de la Recouvrance, Port de Brest
La Recouvrance est la réplique d'un aviso du début du 19e siècle grée en goélette à hunier. Ce navire était destiné à transmettre les avis urgents vers les côtes d'Afrique et aux Antilles.
La construction de La Recouvrance, a débuté en 1990, elle a été présentée au public à l'occasion de "Brest 1992".

The Recouvrance is a replica of an aviso from the early 19th century rigged in a topsail schooner. This ship was intended to transmit urgent notices to the coasts of Africa and the West Indies.
The construction of La Recouvrance began in 1990 and was presented to the public on the occasion of Brest 1992.

The undershot of trees is not a composite, just looking up.
It was originally a color shot I took back in 2016 that I filtered to contrast the shapes of the different branches.
This was the 5th version of a figure drawing I did for this theme of winter leaving and the one that won out.

The quiet of the arroyo wraps around the mountains and allows the desert birds their turn to be heard. A gentle breeze ruffles the grasses and flutters the flowers as it hugs the rocks jutting from the wall that used to be a giant mountain.
We're probably all trapped in the Upside Down. How else could we explain the fact that we still have a Mind Flayer for a president?

A little Stink bug had just landed on a wooden board, close to where I stood, when this Wall Lizard came to check on a possible snack. Seeing what kind of insect it was, the lizard was performing a U turn when I captured it. I was glad it stopped to check on me, too :)

These pictures in this series were taken last Tuesday. At my hubby's work break I'll figure out how to get them off the server and up to this photostream with meta data and better than 72 dpi. This is wooden working puzzle that is a timer. It would run via rubber band if aligned but for the these shots I manually moved the larger gear down below that you can't see, subsequently moving the minute gear and the pendulum wheel at the top.

I think the colours came from looking at a tonne of old Nolan stuff. He had some really great drawings.
