A new more 'Russian' nose. Sorry 'bout the blur.
Jack and I were both originally building Su-51 Fafnirs, but we parted ways on design, so now he has the Fafnir, while I have the superficially similar Su-57 Firestorm. Jack's has more navalized tailfins, and he wants it to have more of a strike role. Mine is a high-altitude interceptor/tactical fighter designed for your basic fighter duties, dogfighting, shooting missiles, escorting bombers, that type of stuff.
Sure would like to see the MiG-29UB Fulcrum fly at a FHC Fly Day... one day, maybe.

The 2010 Fort Worth Alliance Air Show. First time to an air show for me and I must say it's a lot of fun. I wish the Blue Angels flew earlier in the day when the light was better. The sun was nearly in our faces which happened to be the direction we were shooting.

F/A-18 Hornet flying very low over Saline Valley hot springs (Death Valley National Park).
US Air force uses this remote and rugged desert and mountain area as a training ground, presumably because they are similar to the terrain in Afganistan and Iraq.
Almost every day, F/A-18 Hornet fighter jets fly very low and very fast (close to the speed of sound) over Saline Valley.
