This is a closeup of the stepped-arch and stained glass in The Guardian Building, Detroit, Michigan. The "window" is lighted with electrical lights from behind, and portrays the virtue "Fidelity"
The premiere Art Deco Guardian Building opened in 1929, only a few months before the start of the Great Depression.

These are some of my father's WWII service medals. The one that I focused on is his good conduct medal which reads, "fidelity efficiency honor." My father was a Maltese immigrant who gained U.S. citizenship by serving in the army. The medals are made of bronze.
The blue jay is a bird symbolizing fidelity and agreement. These magnificent birds are closely associated with the values of loyalty, solidarity, and empathy.
History is filled mainly by the fidelity of dogs than by friends.

A weekend trip to Bristol providing a great opportunity to capture the unique architecture, history and people of this great city.
Memories of autumn, the striking deep crimson foliage is a joy to see at this temple nestled in the mountains where temperatures are lower and hence the colors more vibrant.
A simple image of autumn foliage against the blue sky, the traditional Japanese standing lantern reminds us that this is on temple grounds. A smaller Gingko tree in front contributed the fallen bright yellow leaves.
Will climate change and warming temperatures reduce the intensity of autumn colors in the years to come?
Handheld shot with Nikon DSLR mated to AF-S 24-70mm f2.8 G, a lens which mirrorless Nikon Z-ealot shills like to remind us that it's not sharp enough compared to their latest mirrorless lenses as measured by various test charts.
With regards to colors as noted by some, there is a perceptible difference in the color depth of cameras as they moved from using different sensors from CCD=>FSI CMOS=>BSI CMOS=>OSPDAF=>Stacked. As it stands, Panasonic was dead opposed to OSPDAF for a long time but they have capitulated recently as their DFD tech falls further behind OSPDAF. Choose the right RAW developer and this problem of color depth/tonality can be mitigated somewhat but I’ve noticed that quite a number of images from the Z cameras have a flat, rather watered down or washed out look. This does appear to be mostly user dependent however as there are also images by other users that looked perfectly fine.
Photography fundamentally is about capturing 3D subjects onto a 2D media. To this end, I’ve been trying of late to enhance the perception of depth in photos via post-processing and avoid a lifeless, overly flat and dull look. Nikon at one time was very much into their design philosophy known as “3D hifi” which cumulated into their rather “controversial” AF-S 58mm f1.4 G. As per the Nikon engineers, 3D rendering in 2D space and resolution are 2 opposing design tenets as one will have to be sacrificed for the other to some extent, lens design typically involves trade-offs and compromises. I have noticed that some of the Nikon DSLR lenses including even zooms do have some perceivable 3D rendering provided we don’t mess up our post-processing because while post-processing can improve an image if properly done, badly processed photos can even obliterate smooth bokeh etc.
Coming into the mirrorless Z mount, the Nikon engineers have pretty much de-emphasized “3D hifi” for the sake of resolution since this is what most people want these days (unfortunately) even though the engineers knew that sharpness is not everything. So today, we might have more sharpness in Nikon mirrorless Z lenses but somethings have been sacrificed in the process. The mirrorless Nikon Z-ealot shills’ constant chant that their Z lenses are superior is hence not quite true, sharper probably but as for being better, it is much less clear cut.
"It seems to me if you add music (and books, probably, and films, and plays, and anything that makes you feel) at the center of your being, then you can't afford to sort out your love life, start to think of it as the finished product. You've got to pick at it, keep it alive and in turmoil, you've got to pick at it and unravel it until it all comes apart and you're compelled to start all over again. Maybe we live life at too high a pitch, those of us who absorb emotional things all day, and as a consequence we can never feel merely content: we have to be unhappy, or ecstatically, head-over-heels happy, and those states are difficult to achieve within a stable, solid relationship."
— Nick Hornby (High Fidelity: A Novel)
