🇳🇱 Terwijl ik rustig thuis zat te lunchen, werd ik opeens verrast door het legendarische TEE-treinstel van SBB Historic. Ik had al twee foto's van de trein, maar was met beide niet 100% tevreden, dus ging ik snel kijken of ie terug zou komen. Uiteindelijk zag ik dat ie niet zou terugkomen, maar om 17:10 zou vertrekken naar Delémont om vervolgens via Biel/Bienne terug te keren naar Olten.
Aangezien de zon steeds vroeger ondergaat, had ik niet veel keuze uit stekken en koos ik voor de Dammstrasse in Münchenstein, een niet erg bekend stekje waar ik vorig jaar al eens was voor de Ae 3/6 III 10264, ook van SBB Historic. Helaas zag ik bij aankomst dat er een grote schaduw op het midden van de trein zou vallen. Nou ja, je kunt niet alles hebben. Keurig op tijd, vier minuten na vertrek uit Basel SBB, reed de RAe TEE II 1053 als AG 31173 voor mijn lens voorbij.
🇬🇧 While I was quietly having lunch at home, I was suddenly surprised by the legendary TEE train set from SBB Historic. I already had two photos of the train, but I wasn’t 100% satisfied with either, so I quickly checked if it would come back. Eventually, I saw that it wouldn’t return but would depart at 17:10 to Delémont, and then head back to Olten via Biel/Bienne.
Since the sun sets earlier and earlier, I didn’t have many location options and chose the Dammstrasse in Münchenstein, a not-so-well-known spot where I had been last year for the Ae 3/6 III 10264, also from SBB Historic. Unfortunately, when I arrived, I saw that a large shadow would fall on the middle of the train. Oh well, you can’t have everything. Right on time, four minutes after departure from Basel SBB, the RAe TEE II 1053, operating as AG 31173, passed right in of my lens.
🇩🇪 Während ich in Ruhe zu Hause beim Mittagessen saß, wurde ich plötzlich vom legendären TEE-Triebzug der SBB Historic überrascht. Ich hatte bereits zwei Fotos von dem Zug, war aber mit beiden nicht 100 % zufrieden, also schaute ich schnell nach ob er zurückkommen würde. Schließlich stellte ich fest dass er nicht zurückkommen, sondern um 17:10 Uhr nach Delémont abfahren und dann über Biel nach Olten zurückkehren würde.
Da die Sonne immer früher untergeht, hatte ich nicht viele Stellenauswahl und entschied mich für die Dammstraße in Münchenstein, eine nicht sehr bekannte Fotostelle, an der ich letztes Jahr bereits für die Ae 3/6 III 10264 war, ebenfalls von SBB Historic. Leider sah ich bei meiner Ankunft, dass ein großer Schatten auf die Mitte des Zuges fallen würde. Nun ja, man kann nicht alles haben. Pünktlich, vier Minuten nach der Abfahrt aus Basel SBB, fuhr der RAe TEE II 1053 als AG 31173 direkt vor meine Linse.

È qui ripreso, nei primi attimi di luce, dopo il paese di Walchwil, sul lato est del lago di Zugo. Questa linea rimarrà chiusa fino a dicembre 2020 per importanti lavori di costruzione, dopo la sua riapertura la presenza degli ETR 610 è improbabile, siccome saranno impiegati nel traffico tra Zurigo e Monaco e verranno rimpiazzati dai Giruno.

Pour célébrer les 150 ans de la ligne ferroviaire de Bischofszell (S5 Weinfelden -) Sulgen - Bischofszell - Gossau (- St. Gallen) un train historique De 4/4 1679 - AB 3750 - BDe 3/4 43 effectue des navettes publiques entre Sulgen et Bischofszell Stadt.
En raison de la présence de plusieurs viaducs métalliques, le poids par essieu est limité sur la ligne dont l'exploitation régulière a longtemps été assurée par deux De 4/4 entourant une AB et une B EW II.

Nestling between the Cotswolds and the Berkshire Downs, this event is uniquely spectacular. There will be three routes of varying difficulty - a gently challenging 35-miler, a 70-miler, and a testing 100-miler. With flat bits between some impressive hills, our environment creates opportunities for most levels of cyclists to enjoy and, if desired, extend themselves. The start times will be staggered so that participants will finish around lunch time to share their experiences in an attractive courtyard. The accent will, as usual, be on friendliness and proper food along the route and at the end.

the black specks on this are actually on the negative. the shop I go to is in complete denial about the fact their machines totally and permanently ruin some of my photographs. for example one thing the lady said it could be was 'a mark on the lense'. I've been taking my photos to get developed there for three years - do they think I'm fucking stupid and don't know what lens marks look like? another is 'dust on the negative' - you think I haven't checked the negative first?? why would you be printing negs with fucking dust on anyway? I'm paying you for prints here. the marks are never usually as bad as this, I mean this obviously takes the absolute piss. often they are fine, sometimes a tiny mark on one neg thats mostly unnoticeable. I'm angry because I've given them so much frequent business and this is what they're giving me back after all this time.
I'm going to have serious words with them one day this week, really interested to see how they're going to talk themselves out of this particular butchered photograph.
