such a cute sight when the little tern came and brought food. Always when it passed on a successless flight they exchanged cries to comfort each other.
Was für eine schöne und süße Beobachtung, als die Zwergseeschwalbe sein Küken fütterte. Immer, wenn sie erfolglos geblieben und vorbeigekommen ist, haben beide gerufen und sich gegenseitig Nähe gezeigt.

It is always exciting to find and photograph a Barred Owl. To catch an adult preparing to feed the youngsters a Garter Snake is a real treat! I assume for both the photographer and the young owls.

There was a "dead calm" in the early morning at Merritt Island National Wildlife Reserve. A slight mist was burning off, and the air was still. I learned that these conditions are perfect for no-see-ums and other nasty biting insects to rise up and feed voraciously (on me) ; -))
The mangroves were mini-islands in this picture, and a large mixed flock of birds were in distance.
Merritt Island NWR and Canaveral National Seashore are a vast natural area (over 140,000 acres) that serve as a "buffer zone" for the Kennedy Space Center on Merritt Island. Much of the NWR and seashore are closed during rocket launches. This NWR provides an important sanctuary for migrating birds, and for several endangered plants and animals.

"One pill makes you larger
And one pill makes you small
And the ones that mother gives you
Don't do anything at all
Go ask Alice
When she's ten feet tall
Go ask Alice
I think she'll know
Remember what the dormouse said
Feed your head
Feed your head
And if you go chasing rabbits
And you know you're going to fall
Tell 'em a hookah-smoking caterpillar
Has given you the call
Call Alice
When she was just small
Go ask Alice
I think she'll know
Remember what the Dormouse said
Feed your head!"
I think the bird is a lesser whitethroat, but please tell me if you can id it! Sign that I can't get to landscapes...still...more birds and flowers...nearly a year since the last waterfall, gradually losing it (if I ever had it in the first place).

Watching the feeding you would think the parent can get hurt by the way the juveniles carry on so violently and jabbing their bills down the throats as the adult regurgitates the food. Ocean City Welcome & Information Center NJ.
This mural was created by a Flemish comic book artist, Marc Sleen. The main character is pulled from his series “The Adventures of Nibbs”. Nibbs is the Flemish word for Nero, the most famous character created by Sleen, seen in this mural feeding the birds.
The spotted woodpecker is hungry and sits right in front of my bedroom window. Does he want to tell me "add food"?
The robin even flew into the bedroom. The window was open for ventilation, it came in, sat down on the radiator, looked at me and flew out again. But there is no photo of it *lol*
Have an early day tomorrow folks so posting now for tomorrow, hope you don't mind.
