Kanani spends time with her family, sleeps in, and relaxes at the beach on her days off. Her favorite part about working with Massage Envy is "the fact that we live in Hawai` i, we're surrounded with "ALOHA", so the clients we interact with are wonderful, as well as my co-workers."
Alan has worked at all 3 of our Massage Envy Spa locations but is from Ewa Beach. Most people don't know "I was born in the Philippines and came to Hawaii when I was 5 and couldn't speak a lick of English my first 3 months of kindergarten." Alan helps his clients to alleviate pain and "consult with them to see exactly what they need or want. It's their time."
Autumn-Raine loves to sleep and go to the beach on her days off. Her favorite part about working for Massage Envy is "Getting to interact with new guest from all over the world."
Leisha is from Mililani and most people don't know "I won this year's Esthetician of The Year award for Hawai`i Massage Envy". Leisha loves working at Massage Envy and "seeing the happiness of my clients when they get their monthly facials. It really means a lot to hear that their facials improves their skin and they feel healthier."
Patricia's favorite vacation spot was to Japan to see the Cherry Blossoms. What she likes most about her position, "To make the my clients feel better than when they first came in."
Cassie best vacation was to disneyland as a child. Her favorite part about working for Massage Envy is "my co-workers are epic."
Kaui is from Kailua and Kaneohe and most people don't know "I went to college on a track scholarship." Kaui help her clients with by "for relaxation, do a smooth massage, For pain alleviation, work around and on areas that are painful to help the muscles to relax."
Kaysha loves to take her kids to the beach or to the park on her days off. What she likes most about her position at Massage Envy is "I love when my clients leave feeling great, relaxed, and improved."
Shayna likes to hang out with her daughter at the beach on her days off. Her favorite part about working for Massage Envy is "I love everybody here. It's like we're one big family. Also getting to know the clients are cool."
Chantel enjoys spending time with family and friends, relaxing on her days off. What she likes most about her position at Massage Envy is "being able to help people with their skincare needs while they relax."
Chennel, born and raised in Kaneohe and "I am a mommy to a 2 year old and I dance and sing when alone lol." Chennel likes most about working at Massage Envy Spa Hawaii is "working with everyone and meeting new people."
Margarita is from Honolulu and has gotten a few mentions on our Yelp page. Margarita loves "making people feel better with my healing touch. Lomi Lomi is my specialty."
Mimi's best vacation was to Thailand. Her favorite part about working for Massage Envy Hawaii is the "friendly staff and wonderful clients."
Cheyenne loves most about working with Massage Envy Spa "I love the clients and talking story before their massages!"
Neko is from Pearl City and "I'm on a "try new things" phase. Within the past few months I've joined Hula/Tahitian classes and Brazilian Jujitsu class." Neko helps her clients to relax by "looking for the tightness in people's muscles and try to get deep into them to help increase range of motion."
Jadelyn loves to catch up on her sleep on her days off. Her favorite part about working at Massage Envy, "I get to do what I love and somebody actually pays me to do it!"
Shawna likes to spend time with her keiki's on her days off. What she likes most about her position at Massage Envy is "being able to help others from their overworked lives by helping them to release tension, pain, and stress so that they can function better daily."
Tammy favorite vacation was to Alaska. What she likes most about working for Massage Envy is "I love the culture of the people that work here. We are family!"

Iman is from Hawaii and most people don't know but "I like to read". Iman says of working at Massage Envy, "I love the relaxing environment, helping clients, and working with my co-workers smile emoticon
Mikala was born in Phoenix, Arizona and grew up in Hawaii. She loves "dancing hula, painting, creating, and hanging with my girls!" Mikala says of becoming an esthetician "after assisting with Skin Cancer Surgery, I wanted to help people with their skin."
Grass Stand Sun Filter (or Summer Sunset Through the Grass…..)
Yellow gradient to red but there were some low clouds messing up a perfect gradient. It’s hard to fight mother nature but I like the yellow and transitional orange in this. Stepping JUST over a ridge line with a long lenses camera is at sunset becomes habit. I work parallel ridgelines all the time looking for close / far perspectives such as this.
The sun is SOOOO bright you couldn’t look at this scene with the human eye. I’m about 150 yards back from this grassy ridge with around 400mm involved. I work the shadow line on the far ridge. Distance is your friend with this kind of shot. Maximum F-stop settings (high numbers) give you a deep field of focus. Ifs your first priority to get the grass AND the background in focus. Good thing, it’s a bright scene and the High f-stop makes your aperture a pin hole. Go higher if you can. Then I mentioned, distance from the foreground object is key. You have to be far enough back to get the grass AND the sun focused at the same time.
As I type this, we are going into a cold snap you will have experienced by the time you read the post. I build these posts about a week ahead on average. I post 6 different images everyday on FB along with the story or lesson for the narrative.
