Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. Excerpt from Marianne Williamsons Our deepest fear
"It's self-care day! Fear La Chancla, ya dang kids!"

I always thought it was ironic that the spider has this particular marking. Crosses represent both death and resurrection - in this case the prey only receives the former. I figured this was good for a combo BBBT and Arachtober. Happy Arachtobutt! She really displays the cross well here. It also really reads well in the thumbnail image.

As a mother, I cannot bear to think of children being abused and separated from their families. The world has a huge refugee problem and surely if we all joined together we could find solutions for those desperately and fearfully fleeing countries in need of finding a better life. We who are fortunate enough to live in comfort and peace surely want to be informed & help all children in America and worldwide. We do all belong to humanity after all.

'An Fear Marbh' or the Dead Man.
Inis Tuaisceart (Inishtooskert or North Island) is the most northerly of the Blasket Islands off the coast of County Kerry, Ireland. Also known as 'The Sleeping Giant'. Viewed from Clogher Head.
Baby Brian laughed in the face of the apparent danger of the sharp spikes of the pine needles. Rather than turning around, knowing that fear is the mind-killer, he was easily able to manoeuver his soft and delicate body through the needles by keeping close to the stem. As a student of snail behaviour, I continue to be impressed by what he can do.
For Macro Mondays theme 'Spiky'.
No snails were harmed in the making of this photograph. At no time did I allow Baby Brian to come into contact with any of the sharp ends of the needles.
"What are you left with when you have tried to please everyone except your own wild soul?
Regret. You are left with regret.
Dear cowgirl,
Please take the chance.
Dance under the stars.
Drink the wild air.
Swim in the chaotic sea.
Howl from mountain tops.
Ride without fear.
Be the woman you always have longed to be, and arrive at old age breathless and with a thousand years worth of stories to tell."
*I ALWAYS please myself :-)
so i made a new years resolution... finally...
i'm conquering my fears this year. starting with yesterday.
my number one fear was needles... i took 4 yesterday in my gums without crying.
i know it sounds funny as hell because i'm almost 20... but needles used to be the scariest things... ever ever ever to me. but now?
i'm a big kid now!!

“I smell the fear that reigns inside
The thought of children who must oblige
To tainted dreams and polluted seas
The missing moon and melting trees
A mist of doom and clouds of pain
Toxic waste and acid rain
The passing of our ignorance
A lifetime spent in abstinence
.
Of living in fear
Living in fear
I can't tell you no lies
Living in fear
Living in fear”

“The wise man in the storm prays to God, not for safety from danger, but deliverance from fear”
Ralph Waldo Emerson
But I fear
I have nothing to give
I have so much to loose here in this lonely place
Tangled up in our embrace
There's nothing I'd like better
Than to fall...
Hold
Hold on
Hold on to me
'Cause I'm a little unsteady
A little unsteady
Hold
Hold on
Hold on to me
'Cause I'm a little unsteady
A little unsteady
Mama, come here
Approach, appear
Daddy, I'm alone
'Cause this house don't feel like home
If you love me, don't let go
If you love me, don't let go
Hold
Hold on
Hold on to me
'Cause I'm a little unsteady
A little unsteady
Hold
Hold on
Hold on to me
'Cause I'm a little unsteady
A little unsteady
Mother, I know
That you're tired of being alone
Dad, I know you're trying
To fight when you feel like flying
If you love me, don't let go
If you love me, don't let go
Hold
Hold on
Hold on to me
'Cause I'm a little unsteady
A little unsteady
Hold
Hold on
Hold on to me
'Cause I'm a little unsteady
A little unsteady
Hold
Hold on
Hold on to me
'Cause I'm a little unsteady
A little unsteady
I've been tagged, so I'm planning to scan a baby photo of me tomorrow.
Just wanted to tell you a little more about me :)
My name is Jennie Anna Jeanique. I was born at the 20th of May in 1985.
I live in Alkmaar (the Netherlands) with my love Emiel, in our beautiful pallace we bought a year ago. We've been together since August 2007. I finished an education for audio visual design (moving pictures ;)) in 2007, after that I got accepted for a study to become a Drama therapist, but after a few months I had to quit because I had a mental breakdown. After a year of doing nothing but sleeping and sleeping and feeling really shitty I started with my 365 days project. I always wanted to be a photographer, but because I had some discouragement I quited. My other passion is singing and musical. I played ever since I was a kid and did about 12 musicals. I quited last year because I needed something different and because of personal circumstances. I started taking singing lessons 2 times a month, and I love it! When I was a kid I always wanted to be baby-nurse, after that I wanted to be a musical actress for a long time (still do secretly).
I love animals, I feel really comfortable arround them. My dream is to once have a farm with a Hanging belly pig, pigs are one of my favorite animals. My favorite color is green. My favorite english word is 'Fragile'. On my funeral I want loads of color, balloons. And the songs Bird Gurhl by Antony And The Johnsons and the live version of I remember by Damien Rice. My dreams in life are being happy (with Emiel ofcourse), becoming a mother (of Emiels baby DOH!), and maybe having an exhibition of my photos. My biggest fear is to lose someone I love. Pets included. I can't live without my love and my two cats Aunty Sterre and Mister Koika
and doggy Baby Benthe.
My motto is:
"Who wants to live forever"
And my biggest lesson in life is not to look back too much and to love myself.
Anything else?
