oh, oh, oh, oh......!!!!!

It looks like Santa took the wrong exit......... and was transported to a parallel universe.........

When this was discovered he was immediately send back to our world again.......but, as you can see, something went wrong, his "structure" is more or less fragmentized.........

oh, oh, oh, oh......!!!!!

Design origami "Santa Claus" and origami "Chimney-shaped penholder": Katsushi Nosho

Both diagrams in NOA #424.

"Santa Claus" is folded from 2 pieces 15x15cm and a small piece (for the face) kamipaper.

"Chimney-shaped penholder" is folded from 20x20cm and 30x30cm "stone"-paper.

Perhaps you already noticed, that there are many different Santa's and they all arrive in our world with different kinds of transportation.

Here is "Dinky"-Santa and is very, very enthusiastic about his ultra-supersonic "Dinky"-car!

When I met him for this photoshoot, he was dancing of joy, as you can see, because the journey from there to here only took him a few seconds, a new personal record ;-))

Meanwhile the Beatles were playing his favorite song 'Drive my car'.

Baby you can drive my car

Yes I'm gonna be a star

Baby you can drive my car

And maybe I'll love you

"As mentioned in an earlier statement by "Santa Mask" (see in the first comment box), the origami Santas have permission to travel and visit the human world. And so they do, in every possible way. Here you see the unique situation that a Santa-family is walking on water!!! It is not revealed how they do this and I guess it will be one of those secrets never to be known……." :-))

This is a very easy Santa model to fold. It can stand as a table decoration or be used as a bookmark.

I folded a little 'family', starting with a paper 7,5x15cm for Santa standing in the middle. Then I halved the size of the paper to create the one on the right. And once more to make the little one on the left.

Final sizes from left to right: height 1,75cm, 3,5cm and 7cm.

"""This elderly Father Christmas has a very special gift, because he can see into the future by what he smells. Apparently, his brain can translate the various smells into images and words. Very useful if you want to know if the journey, that the various Santas undertake to the inhabited world, is going well. And he assured me that everything is going as planned. """ ;-))

It is an older model from 1970, but still worthwhile folding and showing. It also can stand by itself !

I used a 15x15cm red kami paper.

Final size: height 9cm

For the Macro Mondays theme “Handmade”.

When I saw the theme of this week, I immediately knew what I wanted to do: fold a tiny Santa Claus ;-)) Because this is a very simple model, one can fold it easily so small.

This Santa is made from one piece of red kami-paper 3,75x3,75cm, final size 3,3cm.

I folded the display from a sheet of foil/color paper 7,5x7,5cm, final size 3,7cm.

Macro Mondays, Festive Season

"Share your smile with the world. It's a symbol of friendship and peace."

Quote - Christie Brinkley

Did you notice too, that every Santa Claus is smiling? The big smiling Santa is telling that to the little one, always keep smiling no matter what and share your smile.

Wishing everyone a very happy, warm and peaceful Christmas or very happy, warm and peaceful Holidays with all your beloved ones.

And many, many thanks for your friendship, support and visit.

""Last night, while saying goodby to my last folded origami-Santa, the presumed empty sack suddenly moved. To both our big surprise an origami-crane emerged ;-))""

In Japanese folklore, cranes are said to live a thousand years. Because of this, an origami crane represents a long, healthy life. Cranes are also viewed as symbols of happiness and good luck. According to legend, if one thousand paper cranes are folded, it is said that one's wish will be granted. After the atomic bombing of Hiroshima, the origami crane also became a symbol of peace and nonviolence.

I wish it was possible to give you all a folded origami-crane (origami Tsuru), but I have to do this way.

I want to thank you for your friendship and support throughout the year. Your appreciation and comments are a motivation to go on. I'm also happy I can share the joy of origami with you.

I wish you all a very joyful and happy Xmas or very joyful and happy Holidays with your beloved ones. Enjoy ;-))

""Did you ever wonder how Santa Claus delivers all those Xmas-presents, when all the doors and windows are locked……?

In the old days they simply used the chimney, without getting dirty…., like this photo is showing.
