The island of San Michele, located in the lagoon close to Venice, has been the city's cemetery since the early nineteenth century.
There's also a church with a peaceful cloister leading to the cemetery.
Fascinating watching this youngster trying to swallow this very large Rainbow trout it must have tried for about 10 minutes before giving up and abandoning the fish in the shallow water!

Looking out my front window, I was blessed to see this beautiful sunset! Wishing all of you a magical sunset too my friends =)
This is a spider wasp with a Wolf spider. I have not been able to identify what type of spider wasp it is, apparently there are many different types. Here in southern Arizona we have one by the name of Tarantula Wasp, which preys on Tarantulas. They are much larger and have orange wings. The wasp in the photo has stung this spider. When I came across them the wasp was dragging the spider across the ground, heading for her nest. The horrifying part of this story is, the venom of the wasp does not kill the spider, it paralyzes it. After stinging and paralyzing the spider, the wasp drags it to its nest where it lays eggs inside the spider. When the wasp larva hatch inside the spider, they eat it alive. I took this photo at Gilbert Water Ranch in Gilbert Arizona.
Nature ist really fascinating. If its a monumental mountain landscape ore, like here, only some square centimetres of moss. Only when You watch is really closely it will chance Your view of so many things. And when You think, You have seen everything, You are standing fascinated in front of a scenery like this.

Had 3 beautiful windless days in Lodi where so many people go to view these amazing Sandhill Cranes. I found a deeply plowed divot in this cornfield where these beautiful birds allow me to sit and watch them as they leisurely grazed and at times would go into their 'fascinating mating dances'.
Another high contrast mono fern. I find the repeating shapes fascinating. I have been shooting in mono profile Jpeg + Raw on my canon m6 ii and like to underexpose by a stop or so to help me visualise how a shot will turn out. The ship was loaded with gold. The gold treasure was later found by divers. The island "Runde" has only 150 inhabitants. But every summer, more than 500,000 seabirds come here to nest. I don't recall ever seeing these flowers with the white petals before! They go through so many stages that it's difficult to keep track. They are fascinating flowers.

Fascinating to see the evidence of all the changes that have happened in those archways over time. How the different windows have appeared, been replaced, and more recent styles applied. One can get a picture of how things could have looked originally.

Fascinating location here at Cuejdel lake. Even if the sun was up for around 2 hours, the mist was still lurking around the water.
And I think that's the last one I'll post from the lake... for now.
I'm usually a bit more selective, but this was such a beautiful day.
Australia's most haunted beach on a beautiful spring day. If I were a ghost, this is the sort of place I'd hang around, not some foggy dreary old place, it's boo-tiful!. I mean ghosts should be able to have fun and enjoy themselves too hey. They would probably be good at surfing and scuba diving and stuff because they can hold their breathe a long time, like forever. And they would never need to worry about suncream because they can't get sunburnt. I think I've just got my afterlife sorted!
